The wallmart parking lot isn't your dream spot, that's for sure, but it's one of the only places in Montreal where parking is free and sleeping is allowed. We've spent a dozen nights here since the start of the summer so we can visit Montreal and see friends. Most nights there are other campervans.

All the cars that were in this lot a few weeks ago got 68$ fines from statparc a private security company, I won’t go back there…

Stayed here for a few nights without issue. There's a cargo rail track nearby but it's not very loud. Very little traffic noise. One morning at about 10am a friendly parking patrol person said that it's ok to park there overnight but that I should vacate before the store opens in the morning, or otherwise I'd receive a ticket.

Found this to be a very quiet Walmart, not very busy. It's close to the Metro, we found it easier to get around than from the La Salle Walmart which is about 15 mins from the metro rather than 5 here. Stayed 2 nights, didn't check in, no problems.

Report Check-In

Quiet night stay at Walmart. Quite a few other trucks, RVs, and vans in the parking lot too.

Report Check-In

This is the worst Walmart I've ever seen and I've stayed in many of them in Canada and U.S. Garbage strewn everywhere and it appeared abandoned when we first arrived. I wouldn't have cared about any of that but it was really noisy throughout the night....people coming and going, squealing tires, planes overhead. Stayed at the LaSalle location the following night and it was super quiet.

Report Check-In

Generally a quiet parking area for sleeping. I parked on the far right side of the building near where I saw tractor trailers parked. There was also one other van parked there overnight. There was a few people messing around in the parking lot around midnight but aside from that everything felt safe.

Report Check-In

As described, quiet night standard Walmart parking.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for one night. We have a good sleep! No one bothered us and it was quiet. Also got connected to the wifi at McDonald’s inside the Walmart from the parking lot.

Report Check-In

We stayed 1 night on the Walmart Parking.
Free. No problems. Access to toilets inside. WiFi. Next to a lot of shops around.
Nous sommes restés 1 nuit sur ce parking. Gratuit. Pas de problèmes rencontrés. Accès aux toilettes à l'intérieur. WiFi. Beaucoup de magasins / restaurants aux alentours.

Report Check-In

There's sighs about towing unauthorized cars. But we parked our van a whole afternoon and it was fine. Overnight we didn't have a problem either. In the morning we saw 2 security cars and they seemed very interested in our BC plate, so we decided to move another Walmart.
But it's very close to the metro and if you park in the far corner, you barely hear the road.

Report Check-In

Good place to spend the night after arriving late in the city. Lots of options for food but noisy because it's being used by several commercial drivers as well.

Report Check-In

classic Walmart lot, spent the night with no problems, couple of other vans around. they have a lot of no parking signs up but security and staff saw us and didn't bat an eye. as always : not a scenic location but always a great Plan B.

Report Check-In

Walmart parking lot, a few other vans and big rigs parked here overnight.

Report Check-In

Walmart parking, very close to the metro and highway. Bonus point: there is a dollar cinema right around the corner!
