Nice sites with some along the fence line or facing onto the EEZ (an area that you can walk through - ask at reception). Generally well maintained. Friendly staff. Loads of birdlife and antelope around. They are Running a midweek special until March 2022; 40% off normal prices for camping with 50% off park fees (incl. vehicle fee) from your second day. We stayed for a week in the park and did have a some issues with water at Manyane over the weekend, however, Bakgatla had water and many of the hides had toilets so we got some water in our Jerry cans from there and it wasn’t an issue for us.

Report Check-In

We stayed for 150 Rand per night for two people. (No electricity)
With electricity, weekend and high season is more expensive but now it was quiet.
The smaller ablution blocks are old, the bigger block in the middle is better and the showers were hot.

If you stay on the campsite you get discount for the park entree.
With the discount it was 130 Rand for 2 people and the car per day. (You can not use your wildcard here)
They have a lot of animals in this 'small' park, so good game driving.

Report Check-In

Old ablutions and hot water is an issue due to faulty taps.
Electric Power is good.
Tap and rubbish bin at site.
Monkeys and Baboons raid the caravan and camp sites on a daily basis, so everything should be packed away.

Report Check-In

Huge campsite between two gates, you have to enter the campgate before you can enter the park. If you camp here, you only have to pay park entrance one times, even if you stay more days. Campsite is now 400R, but unfortunately it was fully booked due to long weekend, so we only could take a Safari tent for 1100R (two beds in the tent, the others sleped in the truck...). Well maintained ablutions, pool, Restaurant and playground. Lots of impalas grasing between the tents. In the park you can find all big five!

Report Check-In

We stayed here during summer holidays and it was packed. Ablutions were reasonably clean. High season price for a site with electricity was R385. Pilanesburg park is incredible for wildlife sightings!

Report Check-In
