Something not right?

Description

Maybe 10 campsites with picnic tables and fireplaces. No services. About 3 kms from Alaska Highway on a bit of a rough road but we did it with our 28 ft Class A no problem. There is no cost for this campground.

Still accessible with just a couple of inches of snow. Nice spot as described. Arrived after dark so stayed in the lower lakeside loop. Very quiet.

Report Check-In

Very scenic. Little road noise but otherwise quiet. Moose, beaver, bald eagle sighted. Clean pit toilet. No trash cans. Keep it clean as it's a really nice, free campground.

Report Check-In

Answering spot. It is very peaceful. We started at the first section of sites and close to the water. we did have some hornets hanging around more than we would like but they never got aggressive.

Report Check-In

very nice place. it was not busy at all. free, with a tables and probably you can try fishing.

Report Check-In

very quiet and amazing campground with tables, pit fires and pit toilet. And completely free ! what else ?
Just an issue ever signalised : a group of young men came here in the evening (but did not stay for the night), with loud music and laugh. Ok for living being young but these ones need more education and respect ! They don't respect tranquility of others, that's a fact, but over the top, they don't respect this site leaving their can trash on the firepit or directly on the floor (I took some pictures). Please if you see them, take a picture of them, take the license plate and report them ! that's all what they deserve for this lack of respect.
I could not do it because I did not imagine they would be that kind of pigs, so when I saw it, they had already gone.

Busy on thursday night, at least 4-5 other campers. Quietened down at night after party boys left. Some mozzies

we stayed the night and were alone with a splendid lake spot. a lot if insects but not so many mosquitos.

road was easy even after the rain with our 2 wd grand caravan

Report Check-In

Place is as described except the mosquitos weren’t bad at all while we were here end of July. We chose one of the spots with the lake view and access but if it’s full there’s plenty of spaces in the forest each with it’s own pit toilet.
We were here on a Friday afternoon and there were plenty of lake view spots available and most cleared out Saturday morning so we had the place to ourselves! There is some green algae in the water so not sure about swimming but it’s beautiful and quiet. Tiny bits of garbage around our site which we cleaned up and took with us. We stayed 2 nights as it was a great place to rest after many long days on the road.

Ótimo lugar para dormir e passar uns dias também. Tinha outros viajantes dormindo por aqui também. O Lago é bonito, os lugares para estacionar são bons, tem churrasqueira. Único problema são os mosquitos kkkkkk muitos mesmo.

Great place to sleep and spend a few days too. I had other travelers sleeping around here too. The lake is beautiful, the places to park are good, has barbecue. Single problem is the mosquitoes kkkkkk many even.

It looks like they have renovated the area recently, especially in the back. There is a vault toilet, fire pits, and picnic tables. As others have said, the road is a bit muddy and rough in a few spots but a nice place for free. The only downfall was the large swarms of mosquitoes.

Report Check-In

Très bel endroit. Table, emplacement pour le feu et toilettes.

Attention beaucoup de boue pour y accéder.

Nous sommes passés avec notre Ford Escape 2wd.

Awesome place, thanks for letting us stay for free. Was possible to reach even in winter time

Report Check-In

not a bad spot actually,
after running into broken down sedans bashed up in dead ends, trucker stops and a precocious driveway all identified on the app this was a welcome night. overlooks the lake although it appears to be not the best for swimming. beautiful morning fog accompanied by the occasional rumble of a semi barreling down the highway. i give this site an 18 out of 23 stars

A great spot that I rode my bicycle to. Being 3k from the highway is perfect so it is quiet. It rained quite a bit after I set up camp, so I might stay another night if the weather doesn't break.

Report Check-In

Very nice campsite. Might seem different is it is raining. Worth the stop for sure.

Report Check-In

Arrived late but found a nice spot for a quiet night. The gravelroad towards is a little bit bumpy and the ways at the side aren't in best shape, but its fine. The lake is a little bit muddy, so not sure about swimming.

Really nice place, with some different spot for different cars, tents, RV... really nice view and pretty quiet. No data coverage. Restrooms available. No garbage bin so take your garbage with you please. And it’s free !

Report Check-In

Stayed here in a 30 ft RV. Bit muddy and not a lot of fun arriving in the dark, but great campsite for the price!

Report Check-In

Free campsite with pit toilets just beside a lake where you can fish rainbow trout. The place could be really muddy after a rain.

Report Check-In

Well described by others. Virtually no cell coverage on Telus. Many of the sites have a bit of a slope.

Report Check-In

Was a very muddy road in, not dangerous, just take it slow. Lake had a green algae in it so not very pretty or good for swimming or fishing. site is well used by locals and oilfield workers some of whom come to fish in the evening. nice clean toilets. we picked up a whole bag of rubbish from just our site, a small gesture for the use of a free site.

Report Check-In

Great spot, there is a cluster of sites by the lake, another cluster in the forest, a big group site out back and another spot for two large class As. In total closer to twenty sites.

Report Check-In

Great site just on the lake. Our Class B campervan did fine. Was rough getting in here the road was muddy but packed down. We would have had trouble on the sides if we had met another vehicle on the way down.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place right in the lake. A lot of nice spots to set camping with tables

Report Check-In

Okay for one night. Road was still a bit muddy, but okay. It sounds like the road gets very muddy when it's raining.
