Great pull-out for a quick stop or for a few days of exploring around Durango. We stopped here in route to Moab and would definitely stay here again. Several rigs showed up later in the evening, but it was quiet and peaceful. Plenty of down wood if conditions are good for a fire. There was unfortunately a few mule deer carcasses that had been dropped there, but that is expected with spots so close to the highway. High clearance / 4wd recommended

way too rocky for me.. you’re better off on the ioverlander forest road right above this- way more scenic and less rocky. didn’t stay. only 1 bad bar LTE
Report Check-InThe gate is open and there are plenty of spots in multiple sections of this pull off. Signs posted that camping is allowed. No restrooms or facilities. Pretty great spot so close to the Highway and Durango.
Report Check-InThe main gate is still closed- like all of the sites in the area. I saw a single tent up the small hill, but it wasn’t worth attempting the incredible awful road that leads up there, especially bc the entrance is locked up.
Report Check-InThe gate is closed 1/5 of a mile down the road . We parked just before the gate.
Report Check-InRough road to get up there but we manage with our Ram Promaster 2500. No need for a 4x4, but i would recommend high clearance. It’s only for about 100m though. Then you have a wide open space and a few lore intimate flat spaces with fire pits. Share with cows.
Report Check-InMy Sprinters 170 2008 with optional heavy load suspension made it.
it's rough.🤠
Rough getting up to the spot. Watch for old stakes almost had a punctured tire.
Report Check-InSlept one night here. The road is very bumpy, so we took the second spot on the left to avoid getting further. We could here cars on the road, but otherwise it was a nice spot.
Report Check-Ingood little spot once you get to it. very steep and rocky for our 32' class A, we had to disconect our toad before the rv would climb the entrance road.
Report Check-InSpent one night here. There were a few other people around. It was quiet and clean.
