Something not right?

Description

Free camping just outside if Cedar City. On the creek with about 8 spots if you pack in pretty close. Right before dark more people started filling in. its clise to the highway, but the creek noise slightly drowns out the highway (if you get a spot by the creek). Barely any T-Mobile service, no AT&T. Considering nothing else nearby and the proximity to town, its not bad for a night.

Latest Check-Ins

Stayed at a site right next to the creek, which was flowing quite strong. The noise from the creek drowned out most of the road noise. Road in is a bit rocky so be careful - I wouldn't recommend coming in after dusk.

There was a lot of trash. Big trash. We grabbed as much as our rig could handle but it's sad to see such a nice area being misused.

Good for a night or two. No cell service (AT&T or Verizon).

sites right off the road with a nice creek flowing through. No cell service, hard to navigate & trash everywhere.

Only stayed one night, by the end of the day seemed more like a homeless encampment… nice access to creek highway noise… 1 or 2 bars on T-Mobile …

Nice little BLM spot. Only a few people looks they might have been here for awhile. Quiet with a nice creek nearby.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night, lots of other people camping. Nice river access.

Report Check-In

Stopped by, would be a really nice place, but it appears to have been treated as a rubbish dump. Trash all over most of the sites. There also appears to be people living there permanently. Moved on instead.

If you look on satellite there are also several dirt pull offs along the canyon road on the BLM land before you get to the actual camp spot. We pulled off on one of these just near the river and to be away from any body else. No issues. Good for one night when traveling through

Convenient site off the highway. Some sketchy residents. No cell service. Road noise. Sites are not level. Not recommended in muddy conditions, easy to get stuck. Fine in a pinch but go further if you can.

Stopped here hoping to get a decent rest before hiking Kanarraville Falls the next morning. The homeless have taken up residence and trashed a lot of the area. I’m sure they were harmless but they did not give off a very good vibe at all. The area does look like the photos but there was a ton of trash. Rangers are trying to keep the place clean but without shutting it down completely, there’s not much they can do.
