Description

ADMIN NOTE: No overnight camping allowed, please respect the wishes of the locals.

Beautiful parking lot right by the ocean, there is a formal campground right beside it but we chose to camp in the parking lot overnight for free with no issues

Latest Check-Ins

Very scenic spot. Unfortunately we and some others were told to leave since it is park land.

Upper and lower car park, both have toilets. Lower is right next to picnic benches and incredible views! Signs saying if you want to overnight park, go and register at the gatehouse for the official camping area. We parked overnight in the Upper car park no problem, a few trains went past but we weren't bothered at all by anyone. Walked into campsite area in morning (gatehouse hours 12 midday - 8pm)and had a lovely hot shower(no campers were up at 7am,bathroom was empty), and breakfast watched the seals in the bay!

Stayed here last night. Had no troubles, few other ones were staying there as well. Maybe we were just lucky. But it’s a really nice place.

Report Check-In

Spent the night here with other cars and campers with no problem. The train is very close and noisy when it passes, but that’s it. Toilets are clean and there’s is drinking water available.

It may not be a camping spot but honestly worth visiting and making your dinner before/during sunset here! Bathrooms, garbage, recycling, clean picnic tables and a beautiful 360 view. Highly recommend checking out! (Excuse my po girl casserole! *still good* I’m getting to the end of my four month long trip haha)

Report Check-In

Overnight parking is only allowed if you register at the state park (campground house) and pay $35. They call this an emergency overnight and only allow it if the campground is full and it is already late, usually between 8pm and 9pm. They will walk around and check the parking lot and kick out everyone that didn’t register (at least that is what they did when we were there)

Report Check-In

Signs say ‘overnight parking available via guesthouse’ however on enquiry it’s clear that no campers / camping is allowed.

After outing ourselves as likely over nighters we decided to move on and not camp as there seemed to be some patrol.
