Wonderful Core of Everything campground. Free, well maintained. The camp host gave us a 2 weeks tag.
Please respect the area and keep it clean.

Pretty good free campsites, tables, bbq , fire pit, water. We parked on the south side and it was quite windy, a bit of garbage here and there, but ok (we found the north side to have more trash laying around, we picked up a bunch ). Overall pretty good and very quiet at night.

Exactly as described. This camp site was a FREE quiet dream with water, dumpster, and pit toilets. 1-2 bars of T-Mobile and Verizon.

Nice park. Lake Whitney, part of the Brazos river provides great views between the two sections of camp sites. As stated, S. side has fewer trees but better for solar. Water is not quite between each site, but close to it. I pulled in between 2 sites not being used and filled my tank. The site I chose was the last one before the turnaround next to the boat launch. Got trees, sun, and level parking. Vault toilets about 150 yards East.

Camping gratuit au bord du lac. Très calme et sympa. Wc, poubelles et eau.
Seulement que 8 emplacements.

Fantastic lakeside overlook for sunrises and sunsets in the north campsites with enough parking for two-three small vehicles or one larger RV. Trees on all sides so not the best solar or satellite performance - but it’s a nice free campsite for those who don’t need any hookups!

Nice free campsite with more than ten spots. Some of them with shade and others without.

This is a primitive campground, but they do have water throughout the campground. There’s a spigot between each site which is super convenient. They have bathrooms but we haven’t checked them out.

The sites on the right as you pull in are closer together, we ended up taking the first site on the left which is back a bit and very private. All the sites in this side are spread out more which is nice. Makes it more secluded and feeling like you’re alone in the woods. These sites have fire pits which is nice and most have a shade, unfortunately, ours was removed. However, it’s is 20’ walk to the lakeshore which is nice.

Downside is that people have tagged the picnic benches. There also was some trash which we picked up and we did find a needle on the beach that we carefully disposed of. Definitely check your space before letting you dogs run.

Amazing free campground on Lake Whitney! There are 2 different areas to camp here. The coordinates here take you left at the fork in the road, which is the north side. If you go right instead, you will arrive at the south side.
The north side has 8 campsites. This side provides much more privacy as it is heavily wooded between most of the sites.
The south side has 12 sites, some wooded and some wide open to provide spectacular views of the lake.
Both sides have pit toilets, dumpsters and a boat ramp. All sites have a covered picnic table and either a fire ring or stone fire pit.
It was very quiet and peaceful until Friday as a large group with multiple RVs arrived & started up their generators & loud music. I left Saturday morning so not sure how long that lasted.
Full bars with T-mobile.
