Amazing place. The most epic views of Shasta. Clean, a decent number of flat great spots. Easy access down well maintained gravel road. Right off the road. No facilities. Stunning!!!

Report Check-In

I'm here at the beginning of June. There's still 10 ft snow drifts and the lake is still frozen! Only small patches of snow at the site. Great spot. Only 2 other rigs here.

Report Check-In

Some snow still around but no access problems. Early sites have better views. We didn’t go beyond the second flattish area because just after that snow blocked access and all sites are extremely wet.

Great spot with a nice view and easy access to the lake for a morning hike

Cool spot about a mile from the lake.! Great view of Shasta and sometimes black butte depending on your spot. Spaces for several rigs, including some RVs. Signal with ATT, but not good enough to load websites and it was lost when I shut up all my doors/shades.

Great views of Mt Shasta, flat parking spots

Campgrounds full. Beautiful spot with view of Shasta through trees.

Nice place, a bit crowded during holidays or weekends. Arrived Friday July 1st in the afternoon, most sites occupied. All quiet campers, had a nice sleep.

Boondocking site off of paved Castle Lake road. I stayed one night, and would stay again next time I’m in the area.

There is room for at least 8 vans or small RVs. Gravel road is ok for most cars. No water. Don’t miss nearby Castle lake - it’s a pretty spot for a picnic.

Great location overall. About a dozen or so sites including the ones available for small rigs or tent camping. About half of those are suitable for a van or larger. Lots of tucked in spots and it gets busy in the easy spots up front, but trails continue back through other sites. Beautiful view of Shasta at the front sites. Got here around 7pm on Friday and it was relatively busy but found a couple good open sites away from other people with some looking.

excellent place, with an incredible view and a few minutes from the lake, I lov it, recommend

Stayed a few nights here. GORGEOUS area. Incredibly easy to navigate gravel road, leading to about 8 spots or so. Most have a rock fire ring already set up. The road narrows faulty quickly, so probably only best for tent campers towards the back. However, a Class B or C would probably be able to to stay at one of the first 4 or 5 spots. Turning around might be a bit tricky. There’s a spot directly off the road for anyone. Including a Class A. Road driving up here is a easy paved road, passable for anyone. The road leads up to Castle Lake- which has some gorgeous hiking around it. I was averaging 2 bars 5G on TMobile and Verizon.

Great dispersed camping site with multiple spots! Quiet, private, and free with good views of Shasta!

We stayed here the very first time we used this app. And now we are back four months later! It’s absolutely beautiful! Lots of places to camp, fire pits available but currently fire season so not in use. We basically had the place all to ourselves this time! A few bees but the view and sunshine is worth it! Stayed in a roof top tent and wasn’t too cold by any means at night. Keep it clean please!
Much love

Pull off with multiple individual sites with fire rings. Couple of spots big enough for small groups. Quiet. Most spots of some view or partial view of Shasta. Some spots have some trees but most surrounded by shrubs. A ton of glass but otherwise pretty clean considering .Seems to be windy most nights. Special little place . 1-2 bars of lte with Verizon

Fantastic. Off road. Keep going all the way to pick the perfect spot

beautiful area, minimal bugs. has a lovely view of Mt. Shasta. if you don't first see a spot keep searching around through the bush, there are tons of spots littered around! very quiet and scenic, some spots may require 4WD or a smaller vehicle, but I bet an RV could make it in to the more communal spot. there are many more tucked away however, those are the better ones.

Report Check-In

Great view of Mt. Shasta! There were other cars parked there as well but it was very quiet. Make sure to drive until you see a bigger spot big enough for a few cars.

Really great spot to stay. I was scoping it out. Class C and smaller should fit here fine (at least in the first few spots). Its only a short jaunt away from Castle Lake. Be prepared to being your own shade. Its Alpine climate, so nice and cool in the shade but blazing hot in the sun. There are pit toilets at Castle lake. just as you turn off up the road to Castle Lake on the right is Siskiyou Lake. You can turn in there with plenty of parking to use the bathroom and view the lake. There is a campground on Siskiyou Lake and day camping. This lake is great in the summer as the beach at their campground is quite shallow and the water gets warm. You can sit in your camp chair in the water and enjoy the amazing view of Mt. Shasta. The photo I'm posting is the view of the mountain at the disbursed camping site.

Turn off with plenty of space, fire rings, and great views of Shasta. Full service with Verizon

Lots of open camping, little trails all around. I suggest driving in a bit to avoid having cars pass your site.
