Lots of free camping spots along fishing lakes and near ancient lakes hiking trail head. Nice area for a night or two. ATT and T-Mobile okay, probably Verizon too.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Great spot, need discover pass, frequently people come with their kids for a picnic, but quiet at night
AT&T is weak, works with signal booster
Many thanks to the people who reviewed this place. We stayed here for a few days and left October 3 rd. We were somewhat concerned because there was a notice that the main road closes on October 1st. The South Gate was still closed due to vandalism. Lovely spot. Nice gravel roads. Lots of camping spots. Few folks here this time of year. It does require a Washington State Discover Pass, which we purchased online for $35. Would definitely come here again but it seems like the fall would be the best time.
Report Check-InBiting flies are out in full force until the wind picks up. Bring insect repellent and fortitude. I was the only camper on a mid-week night in July, possibly due to the temperature in the mid-90s. AT&T cell reception fluctuated between zero and 3 bars LTE but was consistent and robust enough for video meetings using a WeBoost. North gate is open, south gate still remains locked.
Report Check-InNot much to add that has not been covered by other posters. I would say this place is pretty busy the third week in May. The hikes down to the lakes and onward to the river are particularly nice. The Verizon and AT&T service works well here especially if you’re at one of the campsites it’s a little higher up. Enjoy
Report Check-InThe entrance gates at both north and south entrances to Quincy Lakes are closed to vehicular traffic. Sign says closure due to vandalism. There is still parking available in one large lot at the north entrance before the gate, but the lot was totally full when I visited on an October weekend.
Report Check-InStill an excellent spot, pit toilets all over the place, fire rings too, road in good condition. Places with shade available. Sadly a lot of thrash in the bushes.
Windy as hell, but that's okay as it keeps the bugs down.
Excelentecelente lugar para acampar, hay muchísimos lugares para estacionarse alrededor de los lagos, hay letrinas por cada km aproximadamente. Buen lugar para nadar, pecar llevar su tabla de SUP o Kayak.
Report Check-InThe site is closed on that day, probably seasonal closure.
super windy and coyotes around. Not suitable for tents.
I stayed in overnight in front of the gate, as there are not so many options in this area anyways.
Report Check-InBeautiful landscape and a good spot for biking, hiking, kayaking, and fishing. Easy gravel road access with room to maneuver. Bring the bug spray.
Report Check-InWe got here late last night. Only saw 1 other person camping near the front. Lots of little lakes, and many spots to camp. Pit toilets, that are in fairley
decent. Bring mosquito repellent. Very very peaceful. We didnt find any garbage left behind by other people are our campsite. We will definitely be coming
back.
Nice spots by the lakes. Unfortunately some have left their rubbish in the fire pits. I would recommend taking a walk behind the toilet unit - the views that way are incredible! Only downside was the view of the electricity pilons over the lake and the invasion of mosquitos at sunset!
Report Check-Innice place on lake shore in almost desert area but with fruit farms nearby. officially not free as you should have discover pass.
unfortunately I trash in all the bushes & broken glass everywhere, pit toilet full & no paper. Get your act together Washington if you are going to charge fees
