There are a handful of sites on the lake, some with picnic tables and all with fire rings. Hand-pumped water available. Free.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
very nice campground, there is a lot of room at each site. You could easily get a group into one of the spots. Seem busy I got the last open spot but don't mind sharing as it's a massive site.
Report Check-InGreat spot right on Hovey Lake! Not too buggy at all when I was there.
Report Check-InThis is actually Hovey Lake Park and it was amazing. Like others have said get there early we were the 2nd out of 4 there, but left and came back a day later and it was full. Worth the trip though
Report Check-InVery busy ~ I was there in early May and it was already full in the late afternoon, but I parked directly next to the trailhead for the night with no issues, also a bit of traffic in and out till at least 11 pm or so, most be popular with locales. Pretty spot on a lake with a bathroom and fire rings and a short trail.
Report Check-InNice secluded campsite. Directions can be a bit deceiving but not too terribly difficult. Two of the sites were taken when I arrived. Sites are not level.
Report Check-InAmazing place. Best wild camping for us so far. We were alone so it was very quiet except the wildlife, we enjoyed hearing the coyottes in the night.
We made a fire but we discovered after that we needed a fire permit (oups). We didn't get caught so ok for us but be aware you need one ;).
Very amazing place really. the only bad thing is that the ground is not very even.
Report Check-InMake sure you get a copy of this place either printed out or on your phone , no cell phone/ gPS . I took the blueberry lane ;incorrect road , couldn’t turn around and had to saw a few trees. Stay on 519 . Once you get there ; there are 3 campsite and a boat ramp, the 3rd site is super spacious - none of them are very flat . by the pit toilets you can turn around a small pull trailer , but no long RV . You don’t need 4x4 to camp here. There is drinking water, it was brown - so I had filter it before I drank it . Toilets are clean , each campsite had picnic table and firepit
