Casa Rickys | Hostel

A relaxed hostel. Booked with booking. Com tho can book in person. We stayed 3 nights. Really rested here. In a dorm with bunkbeds and fortunately no one snored! Really quiet on a night. Loads of places to chill in the garden or kitchen/lounge. Were able to pay in Mexican pesos and Ricky also exchanged the rest of our pesos. Shower good. Endless supply of drinking water. Tea and coffee. We arrived filthy with two very muddy bikes. Ricky set up a hose pipe for us. Stsy 3 nights and get to use the washing machine for free. Loads of areas to dry clothes. Plenty of eating places and shops nearby. The star tho is Ricky. He is just so thoughtful. Totally recommend this place

We booked a private room with shared bath at Ricky's as it was the cheapest option we could find, Belize is expensive, especially if you can't book in hostels.

We paid BZ$ 57 for a night, stayed 3.
Double bed was comfortable, room clean.
The reception is also a kitchen and dining room for the guests, giving a guesthouse/hostel feel.
You can use the common fridge.
Shower was warm and nice pressure. Ricky kept the bathroom clean.
Wi-Fi worked well.
We found Orange Walk to be a good first stop into Belize to get situated.

Ricky's was helpful and very nice, he seems to like what he does.

Our service dog was allowed without a problem. Ricky's has 2 cute little dogs.

There's a private cabana that was offered to us for BZ$ 100, 2 private rooms with a double bed each, and a room-dorm.

You can cook in the common kitchen.

Stayed here just the night. Clean and tidy. Ricky is friendly - we booked via booking.com. And during these covid times you have to have accommodation booked to get through the border. Easy walk into town. Big rigs park outside , smaller ones inside the gate site to height! our van was ok parked outside for the night. Wifi was pretty quick.

will also let vans stay on his parking lot. height restriction because of the gate, but not sure how high, maybe around 2.60m.

Ricky is extremly helpful and friendly. He has an appartment with a kitchen incl. cooking stuff, a huge tv, a couch and upstairs a king size bed with a mosquito net. 2 fans and towels are also provided. Cost is 60 Belize $. He also offers 3 rooms with a shared bathroom and a cabaña for 40 Belize $. Absolutely recommended
