Description

Off of Main Street (US 1) there is a lot behind the hardware store along the river where overnight parking is permitted. There are a few shops and a gas station, but no services on-site. From the lot, you can see the waterfall and a park is across the river.

Look for signs along the river that say “overnight parking back row only between signs”

We didn’t stay, but stopped for lunch. Great 1-night hold over when headed along the coast.

great spot for the night. The chemical toilets are closed.

Report Check-In

Great place as overnight parking is clearly allowed, the lot is level and it was very quiet. I also enjoyed the view of the raging rapids.

Great Free place to Sleep, Keep it clean so it's available for next person.

Report Check-In

As described. We look at the falls, quiet. Park riverside between parking signs allows f over nighters .

Description is just as everyone said. Good cell service (verizon), right on the river so pretty views, and there's even a portapotty at the end of the lot you can use. Definitely recommend if you're tired from travel and need a place to crash. we were the only ones here all night

Report Check-In

Great spot. Level parking with signs for OVERNIGHT parking. Laundry. Restaurants. Tavern Museum nearby. Be respectful. It’s in the middle of town. Some truck noise. Some people noise. But overall felt safe and nice spot for needed rest.

Great place to stay overnight. quiet and beautiful. Great Verizon cell service

Report Check-In

As everyone describes. Perfect location to spend the night. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Just arrived and everything is others have said. Shopped the General Store and settling in. It’s pre-season up here so all SP campgrounds and private camps are still closed. Glad to have found this spot to rest a bit.

Had a great night here. As others said, it's legal in between the signs and there's a public hotspot. There is another overnight lot up river, on the other side of Main Street (you'll see it marked on the map here). I stayed there on a different night; it seemed a bit quieter but both are nice.

It's really cool of the town to have this lot so let's all keep it clean and respectful!

Just as described. I checked out the “other one” across the steep but this one seemed better. I could back my van right up to the river and it was as quiet as one could expect for being right off of Rt 1. 4 Verizon bars.

It's great that they created specific overnight parking spots for people, it's awesome. Really quiet and dark. But unfortunately there's a huge building being built next door currently so I was woken at 6am surrounded by work trucks unloading tools, unhitching trailers and move machinery around my van :( still a great spot if you don't mind an early rise in the morning.

Report Check-In

Great spot for a night. On the river (not suitable for swimming or drinking). One other van. Quiet at night.

Report Check-In

As described by others, nice quiet level spot for a night.

Report Check-In

Good spot for one night, near the river (and the falls). Parking with no amenities which authorize overnight between signs that say so. Rather quiet, few locals came but they left rather quickly and we were alone by 10pm!

Report Check-In

Indeed a very convenient spot for a night. Clean, with picknick tables and with the river sound behind, you do not hear any street noise.

Report Check-In

Good spot for one night, close to the water. It is close to the street but due to the fact that you park behind some buildings, you can barely hear the traffic. There is even an open WiFi access point.

Report Check-In

Just as described, a large flat lot, on the river with a view of the waterfall and signs welcoming overnight parking. Even comes with a picnic table and umbrella!. World-class blueberry pie at Helen’s restaurant down the road, but the local head shop reports even better pie at the Bluebird Ranch Restaurant even closer. And they ought to know.
