Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Have been here because the bridge was broken. No any signal. No any information. We were quite obliged to stay here. We negociated to pay 50 USD for only one person and a lovely man accepted. But campsite 8 was the kingdom of 30 baboons noisy and trying to stole us. The place was dirty and the water from ablutions very strange as if there would be soap inside or something else... Too muxh expensive for what you get...
Report Check-Inok ...but very expensive .. in the morning visit of baboons... great places far from each other. ablution building ok but far from our place.
better don't go to the park but visit kwai campsites just half an hour north east of the exit. There they charge 350p pp/n. a few ablutionunits. so you have to walk. or even better find a place just there in the bush
Wir haben Nr.3 direkt am Fluss bekommen. Sehr schön, aber Achtung: Paviane. Ein Mann mit Gewehr hat die Paviane verjagt, wir haben dann auch einen Schuss gehört.
Report Check-InNice campsites between the trees so lots of shade. Braai and water at each site. Good abblution block. No water after 8.30 at night till the next morning (9.00) because of the solar system. Hyena's roam the sites at night and vervet monkeys during the day. The office opens at 6.00-6.30 in the morning so check out the night before if you want to leave early.
Report Check-InWe had a lovely night here. We stayed in campsite 9 which was secluded but close to the bathrooms. We had plenty hot water and the bathrooms were spotless. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We drove to Dombo hippo pools in the evening which was well worth it.
Report Check-InWe spent two nights at campsite 10 which is large and not too far from the ablution block.
There is no hot water until 8h30am when the solar starts working and there is no water at all in the morning until solar starts working - not ideal when everyone is using the toilets and unable to flush them first thing in the morning.
The hyena visit the campsites every night and can be quite persistent.
We arrived 1hr before dark.
Had asked in the village but they refered to Mbudi or this campsite.
50 USD pppn is allready stiff but a closed abolution block and the other clean but only
partial working makes it tough.
Other then that nice spot a lot of animals.
Hippo, Elefant, Baboon...
Very basic campsite. For the amount you pay to stay here there is a remarkable lack of anything, maps, camp layout or anything. Roads very bad at the minute.
Report Check-InJust as every Campsite around here: offers nothing and charges like hell! We stayed with some Locals from Khwai at their Houses (in their Gardens) instead. Payed them 50 P pppn and even had a Fence, Fire Pit, Shower and Toilets. Just ask around.
Report Check-InSo expensive but totaly worth it. The area around is so beautiful and there are so many animals around!
