Something not right?

Description

A really really huge area with a lot of opportunities to stay for the night. There are the Forrest around, so you can stay in the shade of the trees.
There are no facilities on this side, but if you drive 2 miles in the direction of Buffalo you find the Hettinger Picnic Area with tables, water and pit-toilets.
Maximum Stay 14 Days.

Latest Check-Ins

Lots of options to park. Decently busy but still plenty of room. Not too hard to level out. Lots of options for solar and starlink. No visible or tmobile service. (At the time we were here the moths were absolutely terrible, so many in our van every night and in door frames in the morning).

Report Check-In

Pull off in the Aspen. Lots off others. No issues

Just beautiful. Opened my blinds this morning too see deer. Fire pits already made with stones. Definitely would stay again

This is a great area to stay in with easy access and close to Buffalo but still in the mountains. It appears some rigs may be parked but no one stayed. Ready enough to get away from your neighbors. All size rigs but may not access everywhere. Trailhead at the end of the road. No cell service. Yours to enjoy protect and keep clean 🌲

I'll preface this with "I'm an introvert". That said, besides the stunning scenery, this isn't much better than a Walmart parking lot. It is also the beginning of the season and a Friday afternoon so, might be better during the week....but I kinda doubt it.

Report Check-In

As described. Nice spot just off the highway. Arrived late and still found a spot

Report Check-In

from town take Hwy 16 about 23 miles, then between MM 76-77, take Rd 22 in for a couple of miles on dirt road. This road eventually ends up at the Circle Park Campground (pay) but there is plenty of free camping before you get there. Lots of open areas, and we saw both moose and deer. Elevation 7980 feet. Big open field, good view of the mountains. We had a nice fire ring. Very peaceful and wildlife right in our view.
