Description

“Mamquam River Campground is provided by the Mamquam River Access Society (MRAS), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to facilitating outdoor recreation access and affordable camping for adventure enthusiasts.”

$10 for walk-in and $20 for drive-in sites. The sites are very close to one another but are clean and great for the price.

No running water or RV services, just pit toilets. Rigs must be under 20’ long.

Biggest downside is the noise from a nearby gun range.

amazing little spot! the sites are perfect with picnic tables and fire pits. it's basically a dirtbag campground. it's a non-profit and really well set up! outhouses, recycling, garbage bins, and a dish washing station. there is no water or sewage disposal here. totally dry campsite. showers, steam, pool, and hot tub are about a 10 minute walk or a 3 min drive to the local rec center where you can enjoy all of these goodies for only $5.75! the drive in sites here are $20 a night or walk in tent sites with free parking for $10 OR dirtbag parking for $10 a night. all volunteer run. there's a path to the river where you can enjoy the view and the water!

Petit camping sympa avec seulement des toilettes sèches. Pas d’eau potable. Nous avons réservé un Walk In en ligne à 10$ et stationné dans n’importe quel espace de stationnement écrit Park Here.

Très belle place pour le prix. 10$/nuit. Personnelle à l’accueil très sympathique. Il y a des slack line pour s’amuser si jamais et accès facile à la rivière juste derrière. Pit toilette propre.

beautiful campground, in winter it's self serve following an honor system which I appreciate a lot. Prices are now $20 for drive in still $10 for walk in sites. They have the cleanest pit toilets I've ever seen and even a dishwashing station short of running water which was nice to see

We were working here as volunteers for about a month and LOVE this place! Check out some video footage on YouTube:

If you want a no frills secure quiet place to sleep then this gets the job done. I stayed in a drive in site. Campsites are very close together meaning you’ll almost definitely end up talking with your neighbor. They come with a table and fire pit that is currently closed due to total figure ban in BC. Friendly host and pretty continent location. Put toilet was clean and there are sinks (but no running water) which will be nice if you don’t have a sink. Overall I’d say this spot isn’t for everyone and I ended up wild camping the rest of my stay as I wanted to save some money.

Place was great for my suv w a roof top tent. No water source, but a dishwashing station. Very clean, cheap firewood. Tessa the park manager is so great!

Perfect for one night! Welcoming people and toilet super clean!

As post said, very quiet after shooting range is closed..
Nice welcoming persons..
No lights, no noise, they are installing people at every two sites to respect distanciation due to Covid..
Recommanded

As described by everyone else. Very friendly staff, seems well run. Patrick the manager recommended several places for me to visit.

No water on site! Good cell reception. For covid I had to buy a double site to maintain distance but they had ample room even though I arrived at 7pm on a warm Saturday. It’s a short walk to the river.

Bonus: They have slack lines!

Firewood is $10 for a wheelbarrow

Stayed here on our way to and from Whistler as Alice Lake was booked out and many other places are closed. Owner is very friendly and greets you on arrival. We were spaced out between other guests (with physical distancing in place) $15 per night and an additional $10 for a wheelbarrow of wood. Short walk to mamquam river where we had a quick dip. Pit toilets are fine and the place is pet friendly also😊

Exceptional welcome by our host Patrick. The cleanest dry toilets I’ve seen. You must absolutely come here to enjoy a beautiful place and to encourage their missions

Great and cheap place to stay. Everything as described. Great staff with good advice for the area.

Report Check-In

As described. I arrived late on the long weekend and was able to park my van inside for 10$. Kind of an overflow area but really you are 10m away from the actual sites. Only pit toilets available, no water. Cheap way to stay in Squamish.

Very nice and familiar campground without services but pit toilets. Missing privacy in the drive sites, but there are trees planted, so maybe in a few years...

They now have an overflow parking lot a bit up the road for 5/night. Kinda noisy in the morning though

This campground was perfect for a sprinter. There are 68 sites but only 20 or so are for drive up use. The tent sites require parking in a central area and walking the additional 100ft to the campsite. The parking area had some smaller campers in it overnight and it did not seem to be a problem. If the main lot is full, there is an overflow lot outside of the gate to the east that is $5/night. Perfect for us as we had daytime activities around town and needed a place for sleeping.

nice, cheap campground at the river. they have slacklines onsite. :) unfortunately, you can hear the gun range (during daytime) and sometimes smell the horse range which are nearby. But we just paid $15, was good for one night.
