Report Check-InThese exact coordinates led to a spot that said no camping. But there are other areas to stay. We stayed at the spot “next door”.
Pulled in late and thought we might get murdered (lots of fog- you know the feeling), but turned out to be perfect sleep spot.
Hudson is beautiful. Saw a fire pit and plastic chairs close by but no one was around. A few cars drove by on the road. Heard gun shots in the distance- be careful during hunting season.
Overall a nice place to stay with our dogs. Very peaceful.
There's one porta potty. Camp sites are marked with a little symbol as per the sign but I didn't see any that were marked. I stayed at one that didn't say no camping. Right on the water, very quiet back there but there is people around. The road is mostly dirt. If you keep going a mile passed here it's high clearance required and I wouldn't do it alone. There's a lot of water and no cell service.
Report Check-InNice forest by a river. Not so busy in October but there are hunters so be vigilant. Pretty remote which is nice.
Report Check-InGood spot but really crowded. Loads of day use folks and quite a few campers as well. Don't expect to find a place on the weekend during the busy season. Also note that there's a lot vacation traffic for Lake George on the weekends. Otherwise great spot to cool off in the summer.
Report Check-InStayed here for a night, at parking bay 5. Very quiet, went for a swim in the river, real nice place. I imagine it would get real busy during holidays.
Report Check-InReal Nice place on the river. There are day use areas, picknick areas and camping areas all for free. Nice to sit on the river and watch a lot of people go in a tube on the river. IT was real bussy when i was there, But the weekend for 4 juli. But still enouf place
