We stayed here for one night so we could make it to our mechanics in Pereira early the next morning. David and Irma were Overland travellers before they purchased their finca. They were both very kind to us and they have a beautiful property. They allowed us to park our truck and slide in camper and use their facilities, it was a very peaceful night. We sent them a message on their WhatsApp ahead of time and they made sure the gate was open for us. There are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance.

We are at David & Irma hostel & campsite& café with the intention of staying for two nights at the most but we end up staying for 24 days!! The activities and the warmness of the hosts is too much to describe by words. We really feel at home and there is a beautiful café Alps d’Hue run by them on weekends and public holidays. They serve the world best wood grill beef sandwich and fish cake dish. Class B RV is also able to park by their beautiful garden. There are Bars and food within 300meter walking distance and beautiful waterfalls which you can go by chicken bus. The place is very near to Pereira Town where you can go and have high end lifestyle and shopping .Whatsapp David +573142768295 before you arrive. A highly recommended hostel and campsite. Thank you for the wonderful experience David & Irma

Irma and David are a colombian/American couple who own a beautiful finca close to Pereira. We came in contact with David on Facebook because we had trouble with some paperwork of our van. He helped us a lot and finally got us in contact with a woman in Bogota who fixed our papers. So by the time we were close to Pereira we decided to visit David and Irma. David took us on a tour to a waterfall close to his house. It was wonderfull!

Surrounded by astonishing nature Finca Miradores is a very very beautiful Place to stay. Up on a hill the Finca offers a great view around and even the nearby city Pereira comes into site on clear days. (Miradores means great view) Irma and David are the most helpful and courteous people we have met so far. The Finca has a well equipped large kitchen, a bathroom for guests (cold water) and open dining spots as well as two guestrooms for up to six persons. We have been at the Finca with a family of five for about five month and would come back any time, because the overall experience is absolutely great. La Florida, the little village at the bottom of the hill is Beaty and cute and offers all basic stuff required. Don Martins show is well equipped, the restaurants offer from jammy local to proper spare ribs and the ice-cream bar is great, too! The area is great for daytime and walks into nature. Walk up the mountains to get a stunning glance of the landscape, or take a Ciba (bus) to Cedral and follow the Rio (river) Otun deep into the jungle were some of our highlights. And of course, David and Irma helped us with everything building the Van we bought (Dodge RAM 1988) to get going as well as getting all paperwork, translations and overall organizational asf. things done.

Previous caretakers have moved and new caretakers were hesitant to manage. Some overlanders were unfortunately turned away.

Still best option around so give it a try!
