Since the water level rose the places on the lake are no more. We camped on the small beach at Bukoba Coop Hotel which is 100m beyond Spice Beach on the Shore road. Paid 70.000 for use of a room for showering and had dinner on the beach and slept at the sound of the waves. Ferry arrived at 7am.

we didnt stay : a 5m2 dirty grass patch between a children playground and a noisy beach bar. 16000pp+8000 for the car means 40000 for 2. dirty ablution block with running water. the manager said the crowd would leave at night. we visited a very ok bed and breakfast with en suite room at 40000 just behind on the hill but finally opted for wild camping on the southern cliff.

It is a small place for tents or small Overlanders. they opened a local style hut with cold shower and European toilette.
5US$ ppn
Restaurant with fresh Telabia is quite good.
But you do not want to go early to bed. The campsite ist just in the middle of two African party areas. and it is every day and night up to 22.00h
But you will forget that all when the moon appears in the east in the constant roaring of the waves.

We stay another night here.☺

Camping on the beach with your own tent 2ppl $20.000. Location is awesome, and not far of the town, walking distance of the bus station. Toilets are ok, not running water while we stayed, so bucket showers. Friendly staff. Has 2 nice bungalows with private toilet at the beach aswell, didnt ask the price, sorry. Restaurant is part of the camping, medium range price. Recommended for 1 or 2 nights. No Wifi.

The place is nice, local style.
We camp with our own tent 20000 pn 2 people right on the beach. No either running water nor hot water. No wifi.
Restaurant is ok and bar as well.
It was quiet a bit windy.

very basic facilities, cold water. lots of harassment from locals trying to sell stuff. Wanted $10 pp but negotiationed to 15000tsh. Nice view. Fine for 1 night stop over.

Campsite on the beach. Basic but clean. Lake Victoria is 5m away. Shower and toilets reserved for tourists. Bar and restaurant on premises. Walking distance to town.
