We stayed here, just in front of the helipad (maybe they use it). It is also a viewpoint, it is on a hill overlooking the lake, so not at the shoreline. Very nice views and nobody was there.
As there is no shelter, only use this place when weather is good. Very exposed to elements.
Note: there is a second abandoned helipad, maybe easier to camp in front there just in case they use them.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
If you drive up the meadow opposite to the first helipad, you will find a second (abandoned) helipad. It’s partially overgrown and marked closed with rocks, so maybe a better place for camping then the one marked here. Also: here are not visible from the track. Be aware that there are bears in the area, we saw tracks and a big shit.
Report Check-InVery nice 360° panorama view, but no track down to the lakeshore.
The road to the place crossing the forest was 50 cm under water. So check before you drive through!
