Great camp area RIGHT next to Hole in the Ground. We had two tents, a Jeep and my parents truck/camper.

Been awhile since an updated review... nothing to new to report, but stayed here the other night and it was great. Large spot, could technically be two spots as there were two different fire rings set up in different areas. But there are also so many other spots around the entire crater, that I can't imagine it would ever be so busy that you would need to share the spot for two separate parties.
Not sure what road the person saying there was a downed tree on a few years back, but there were no access issues I came across.
Report Check-Inthere's a huge tree that fell blocking the path to the forest road. Google maps will try to take you to a private driveway. it kept taking me to the private area until I went down the other forest road to only be greeted with a huge fallen tree
Report Check-Indecent little spot that could fit two cars with a fire pit. the wind picks up a bit here but nothing to bad.
there are a few other spots around the rim also with more room.
