Cameroon
Stop here to get your temporary importation into Cameroon. This is the first customs office that you’ll come to if you crossed from Gembu. Officers were all kind and professional. The importation permit is free of charge. I’m not sure when/if they close. We arrived at 17:30 and the chief had to come back from his home to fill out the forms. He was very nice and everything was finished in about an hour.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Got our passavant here. Free - he didn’t ask for money.
I asked him to put down Limbe, Ntam and Congo Brazzaville that we don’t have to do a new passavant. He was okay with it.
Report Check-InWe came here on a sunday, it was closed, we went out of the city in wild campsite with another couple, the next morning we hitchhiked with a truck to the city and made the Passavant for free for 80 days.
All good and friendly they didn’t ask for anything.
Report Check-InGot exit stamp in carnet. Had to wait till 11:15 for people to show up. A man in charge plus a lady doing the work.
They said the road starting here is the easiest way to Gembu.
Report Check-InIf you don’t have CPD, that’s the place to get a passavant ! FREE OF CHARGE
They tried to ask for money and finally gave it to me
They checked our Passeport and CPD, took all the informations and that it. No stamp or other thing here. Very nice officers.
Report Check-Invery easy customs. they didnt check the car. they asked us the CPD but we dont have so they were making a 30 days passavent for FREE. 20 minutes and no hassle. friendly officers.
Report Check-InGot passevant here for free, no hassles. Friendly girl types everything up. Easy. Said we could only put four places on our itinerary. Went with banyo, Bafoussam, yaounde, and ambam.
Report Check-InThis is the second custons office in Cameroon, when you come from Gembu in Nigeria. The first one was in Boundjoukoura 8 km behind the Border near Kan-lyaka. The young guys hanging around will call the chief, even on Sunday. Give the Passavant to the chief. If you have a Carnet de Passages, you don't need a new Passavant. Use the Carnet. Otherwise you will get a new Passavant for Cameroon. The advantage of the Carnet is, that you don't have to establish your route. The chief officer was friendly, but needed help with the carnet. No fees.
Report Check-InProfessional border crossing, by shure that you have all the major city on your passavant, even the border out of Cameroon. The checkpoints like to see this. Otherwise you have a lot of discussion.
