Report Check-InYeup... Spot checks out. A wide spot on a road through a clear cut. I went 100 yards beyond the pin marker on an inactive logging road on the right. Level. Very nice view of Mt. St. Helens. Gets sunshine almost all day.
NOTE: An area nearby is being logged, so watch for logging trucks.
This is an old logging road... I drove up the road past the first camp
Spot and had amazing views 360... snow capped mountain one side. Horizon view of distant mountains the other.. lots
Of room to walk and explore. I did with dog.. I have to say it’s not ideal cuz it’s an old forestation clearing.. but I don’t mind that. The road up
Seemed endless.
Wide spot in the road next to a place that was logged years ago. Plenty of firewood, room for a large vehicle. We got a 2wd Sprinter and a Nissan Versa here, although it took some spotting and a little clutch slipping. No one came by even though we were here on a nice Friday and Saturday night after July 4th. Room for a tent, but you may need to remove a few small rocks and branches.
