Not a very appealing place indeed but fine for one night. Its more a bar for the village's dudes to hang out at than anything else. There was no water and no toilet paper in the bathrooms... Stinky and dirty experience.
Windy place and quite warm.
Not many women around for a so called "women's camp" (we didnt talk to any woman, only a few dudes managing the place).
Fresh beers at 280.
Its of course expensive for what you get at 1000pp.

This place is in wrong location - it is located at 0.63112, 37.66003

Nice restaurant. We had fish one day. The other meal was soup, rice, potatos, vegetable, meat and a fruit plate.

Nice place at the river, doesn't appear like a car park, ablutions good and clean. We had a lovely vegetarian dinner for 1000,- a little bit pricy. The coordinates are of the village, keep left there in the direction of the river and you will get there.

Report Check-In

Compared with other options and possibilities in the region, this is a nice place for a stopover. You park more or less on the parkingarea. But you have view on the river and landscape behind it. Though behind a fence. Clean ablutions, cold shower, restaurant/bar on site, also visited by locals. 1000 pppn. Not really inviting to stay longer, but near the entrance of Samburu Reserve.

GPS coordinates are a little bit wrong.
0.63125, 37.66014 is right. Directly at the river.
Nice camp, great view. We paid 1.000 KSH ppn and our grandson, 8 years old was free.

Report Check-In

good for a night, cant remember how much we paid but I think 1000 Ksh ppn, showers and Toilets are okay, they have a small restaurant

Report Check-In

Very small camping area available in the car park, a shade was available for setting up our kitchen under. They charged us KES 1000 per person per night. Someone tried to break into our vehicle the second night. Best thing here was the staff who did their best. A few flush toilets were available but the two showers were located inside the toilets and didn't drain properly which caused a lot of mess since we were a group of 10 and it was also raining at the time. Nice location on the river but the horrible fence that's been put up, presumably for security, kind of ruins the view.

Negotiated to 800pppn, nice view across the river and a restaurant. Very basic toilets and cold showers. Good stop before Samburu.

Report Check-In

nice place along the river. shade for eating and drinking, but not for camping (no problem). nice people. wifi when there's power.

they asked for 1000kes, but lowered to 800kes when we showed this app.

We stayed here for Ksh 800 pppn. From this camp site we did a safari day in Samburu NP, after the day driving we slept again on this campsite.
We parked our car in the bushes for shelter against the wind and have access to a toilet and shower.
For us it was a good place to stay!
Enjoyed the game driving in the Samburu! Lot of animals and a beautiful environment!

Just stopped to have breakfast. Tasty. View onto river. Saw elefants far away on other side. To camp would have cost 1000 pppn.

Report Check-In

camping was 800ppn and was absolutely fine, with a great view over the river. they let us use one of the vacant rooms for the shower and flush toilet. there is a bar and restaurant

Report Check-In

Went there with intention to camp, but camping is only in the dusty and windy car park with no facilities. Facility ask KSh1000 pp and so we left.

Report Check-In
