Great campground in a pine forest. Spotless Toilets and showers. Big overflow. If you want to stay there you should book in advance on a long weekend and in the holiday period. The price was something like C$ 30 per night.
From the Campground you can start your trail. Here starts also your training for the XXL Mountain Marathon with 120km through the mountains. It's true just google it!
You should not be a railway hater. Trains hook their melodic horns night and day.

Report Check-InClosing today (October 2) Would have been a wonderful stay this time of year ..
Report Check-InNice campground close to town, we arrived late on a busy weekend and luckily got the last spot. The whole rest of the week was sold out. $30 per night. Looked for the overflow mentioned below but could not find anything and Ranger confirmed there is no overflow camping here.
Report Check-In2018 review is no longer correct. The campground loops are locked and not accessible out of season. :(

No Fee’s, no service. User maintained. This provincial campground runs from June 1 to Sept 28th. Outside of that, you can stay up here for FREE. Very Close to town. If there is snow on the ground, the loops where marked campsites are aren’t cleared but the main entrance where the park sign is seems to be plowed through the winter and as of May 1st, you can camp here no problem, have for 2 nights.
