Something not right?

Description

The entire 9+ miles of 8$ road has many dispersed sites. Few by the rivers, but there are some about midway and at the end. Occasional 1bar on Verizon, but don't count on it. Recommend high clearance vehicle, but 4x4 not needed. Very open area with a huge variety of plants. You will need to bring you water and power. Be sure to pack out all your trash and waste.

Latest Check-Ins

The forest service campgroud, on the downstream of the bridge was closed. One person had a illegal tent there.

Report Check-In

This entire road felt unsafe and there was trash at every site and along the road. It looks like homeless people are living at several sites (and at trailhead). Several cars drive past while we were trying to find a site and almost all of the looked sketchy or questionable. We didn’t end up staying near Kerby and moved on to Crater Lake area instead.

Report Check-In

Much quieter above the campground and nicer spots. But as it is the weekend and hunting season...lots of road traffic right now. I drove past the paved area and up the gravel road, no problems with a 24 ft Class C and towed car. Would be 5 stars but for hunter traffic.

Report Check-In

Go past the so called campground, and lots of places to choose from. yes it is a gravel road but much nicer and quieter. There are a few sites on the way to the campground on paved road, but nicer places further. no problem with a 24 ft class c towing car.

Report Check-In

You take $8 road from the highway, and there are lots of places to pull off and camp (car, tent, RV). There are two campgrounds that appear to be free. One is after the road turns into a NF road, and the other requires you to go over the bridge and then left. After the bridge on the right, there are pull up sites next to the river. There’s lots of places to stay!!
