Very friendly and unconplicated. One officer collected the passports and car paper while standing in a small car queue. They did not ask for Covid vaccination or PCR test.

Came from Montenegro. EU Passports, EU car license. Albanian officials where very friendly. No fuss. Even made time for a short chat.

Very quick 10 minute border MNE to A. Insurance from the booths just after the border €49 for 15 days for a GB car.

We had to wait for about one hour. Motorcycles and bikes have an extra line and can pass. We crossed from Montenegro to Albania.

Insurance is NOT €15 for 15 days like posted here. They charged us €49 even though we were in Albania for one day, that’s with a British car but I assume all EU cars would be charged the same. Wish we had known this before heading to Albania after reading it was only €15 on overlander.

Insurance for Albania available after you have cleared the border crossing. Insurance brokers are on your left.

One stop border. If you need vehicle insurance for Montenegro, you stamp your passport first and then park. The insurance booth is right behind the police/customs booth. They charge €15 for 15 days.
If you are going into Albania, there are people selling vehicle insurance for Albania at the border.
