Description

Cabela’s has taken parking lot camping to the next level! They have a dedicated parking area for self-contained rigs that is clearly marked. There is also signage for the area where they don’t want overnight parking. This location even has a mini horse stable and large animal kennel. Yea, you can unload your animals for the night! Road noise and street lamps but you get what you pay for.

Latest Check-Ins

Dedicated parking lot off to the right side of the store (when facing the store). Plenty of space, a few other vehicles, and relatively quiet for being close to the highway. Much quieter than the Walmart in town. Welcome and easy to stay, and awesome access for any size setup you have. Gas station around the corner and a few fast food places if you need anything in a pinch. Solid place to call it a night.

I stayed the night of the 5th July. Perfectly good place to stay for a few nights. Just disappear in the daytime and return later. Avoid the purpose made camper slots to the east of the building. They are crammed on top of each other and people use little common sense. Despite the no overnighting signs use the periphery of the car park. Less congested. Lots of food places. If you need packages use Pak N Mail. Cheap and reliable.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay. You can park on either side. Cars/vans welcome too. Near Taco Johns, Wendy’s and Sam’s Club.

This location is still open for RVers to spend the nights. Nice long parking spots beside the store with dog kennels and horse corral. Water is locked up, and am assuming for the colder months. Spots are narrow, so having your slides out is probably not an option unless you can get a spot on the ends or the middle where there is a dividing garden area. It’s a busier location so don’t hog 2 spots by blocking others out with a slide extending into the spot next to yours. We’ve seen this all too often. Just sayin’. Spent a peaceful night here along with several other RVs and a semi truck.

Report Check-In

This is our second time visiting the Billings Cabela's. It's great for an overnight stop. A few other RVs/vans staying here, nice and quiet.

Report Check-In

Great dog pens, 4 horse stalls, no water or dump. There are No Overnight Parking signs but night manager Mike said that was to be able to kick methheads out. Any respectable RV is welcome and I spent 2 nights with no problems. Only a couple other rigs here.

Report Check-In

As described, good spot with some highway noise. Train is a good distance away, at least compared to other recent nights. 9:00 pm and about every other spot is taken in the RV-specific section.

Report Check-In

Perfect overnight spot. parked on the side of the building next to Sam's Club. Turned out it was completely shaded from the 96° heat.

Report Check-In

Great spot, lots of other folks here. Feels safe.

Report Check-In

Looking at the front door it’s to the left. Long yellow parking lines for RVs and vans. No space for tents. Cabelas closes at 9 pm. Pet friendly! Small amount of highway noise but easy to block out. Thanks Cabelas!

Report Check-In

Near the highway, for a quick night. Thank you Cabela’s

Report Check-In

Pretty nice spot for one night. Highway noises but it’s free so not the end of the world. Dog kennels and some shade late in the day. Overall, pretty good spot

Report Check-In

The water pipe broke this past winter and Cabellas will not fix it as per manager, very nice place, but after 6 pm both days that we stay here were full

Report Check-In

Safe, sort of quiet, plenty of room. just some road noise from nearby i-90 but you can drone it out with the small fan. when facing the front of the store, park on the left near the dog pens. does dog pens are pretty neat but very small and not runs but somewhere to let your dog be outside safely for a few minutes if you need.

Report Check-In

Saw the no overnight parking signs and saw no other vehicles in the lot or rv parking after 9pm, so opted for Walmart.

Missed the earlier reviews noting that the signs don’t reflect Cabela’s policy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Report Check-In

Designated parking for trucks and RVs. Some RVs parked in the regular parking lot once the designated spots were filled.

Report Check-In

Stayed for a night. Good spot. Water was not on for fill ups.

Report Check-In

Great place. Parking for rigs is to the left of Cabellas when facing. Water is turned off and no dumping station. Small trash. Holiday across the street has a water and dump station and trash. Horse stalls (our Dane loved it for a bit). The further back, the louder the Highway... we don’t notice that. Lots of rigs. Sam’s lot is connected...can stay there too.

Report Check-In

The water is now padlocked and the dump station, which was $$, is now free until 5/31/2021 when it will be shut down. Well lit lot, long spaces accepting big rigs (semi next to me if that bothers you). Nothing really close by for facilities once Cabellas closes and not open until 9.

Report Check-In

So apparently corporate cabelas changed their overnight parking policy and the city put in place a 10 hr max parking policy which is why there are no overnight parking signs up here now. however, most reviews says cabelas still doesn't care and when we pulled in there were 4 other vans/rvs here including a dropped travel trailer. security truck parked next to us all night with no one in it. left at 9 am with no disturbance.

Report Check-In

The ”no overnight” is in the front of Cabela’s store. Not in the rear area near the highway at the back of the store where is the RV parking lot and the dump station ( closed in November)

Report Check-In

This place is permanently closed.

Report Check-In

Enough spots but ended up staying in the Sam’s Club lot because of noise. Very loud: highway right behind, generators, and semis running throughout the night. Nice to be able to use bathroom @ Cabela’s plus they had water fill up. Not near anything else of interest.

Report Check-In

Nice quiet location in town with clearly marked designated spots for overnight parking
