Nice rest stop but Idaho law enforcement does not want any size RV’s parking in the car area which they call the Rest area and wants any size RV park to park with the semi trucks even that our 24 foot RV backs in to a car parking spot and not sticking out, otherwise the truckers are cool the restrooms are very clean, volunteers serve coffee, lemonade, pretzels, chips and cookies, etc... 24/7 two law enforcement officers man the information station here on I-90 eastbound and keeping it safe for everyone, in the past I have worked for 2 different LEO departments has a civilian and I know you guys just doing your job.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I stayed here last night. No problem this time. I have a 21 foot camper van and parked on the car site. There was a truck with a camper on it parked here too. Spent the night, no problem.
Report Check-InDecent sized area but very full tonight. Separate lots for cars and trucks. Car area is further from the road so a little more quiet.
I had stayed at 2 rest stops off the i90 in Montana and they were the nicest and cleanest I’ve seen. I had intended on staying at the one on the west border but it was closed so this was the next one. It’s probably the dirtiest dump of a rest stop I’ve seen
T-Mobile 2 bars though
Report Check-InNo overnight parking but they have trash cans, restrooms and lots of helpful travel information.
Report Check-InParked in the truck stop area, per instructions of Idaho State LEO or the maintenance ground keeper who did not want any RV or cars sleeping in the parking lot for cars, the ground keeper said it is a rest area only and Idaho law forbidding overnight stays. So we parked in
between the semi trucks who kept their engines idling all night long with engines exhaust and the semi’s loud idle we could not sleep We left for the Smelterville Walmart an hours drive on the I-90 and had a clean air and quiet sleep there.
