Something not right?

Description

Free. After about 20 miles down a very dusty dirt road (the road is in good condition so should be accessible by any size rig), you'll find yourself in this beautiful area with access to some of the best nearby hiking trails. Busy on weekends but the area is worth exploring! Pit toilets and picnic tables. No garbage, pack in pack out. Very buggy and no potable water though so be prepared.

Latest Check-Ins

Nice and quite here on a weekday and hardly anyone here. I would advise it is NOT big rig friendly! We took our 19 ft travel trailer back to it and wouldn't do it again. The road leading to it is narrow, and we barely made it . Once in the campground, it is very tight and difficult to turn around (we didn't commit to the whole loop). There are a few open spaces on the road before for big rigs, and could camp at the trailhead before the campground road.

free, steep narrow dirt road for last 15 miles, last 2 miles with potholes.

Top of the mountain, beautiful view. 17 miles uphill.

The Seven Devils Campground is a small rustic facility located near the Hells Canyon Wilderness. The site is set in a cool fir and spruce forest and has 10 campsites. A short walk from the campground is Seven Devils Lake which offers fishing, photography and a chance to view scenery and wildflowers.
ADVISORY: Forest Road 517 is very steep, and narrow. Low clearance vehicles, RVs and vehicles pulling trailers are not recommended or advised to use caution when traveling the upper sections of this road. The road can also be slippery when wet or frozen and is not recommended for trailers in the late fall and winter.
