Nice little free campground but don’t expect much… no hookups but hey it’s FREE! Stayed one night. Good place to pull in, sleep and get back on the road in the morning. Arrived after dark and almost all the spots were taken but everyone was pretty quiet. Worst part was the trains that were going by all night but other than that it was perfect.

stayed two nights while waiting out a snow storm in our van. other people were here living out of their car.
not a bad spot to sleep for a night or two but I would get here early in the summer, I'm sure it fills up quick.
if they had some garbage cans then it would have been better.

Great free campsite all up and running, place was clean and tidy.

Still FOC. No water. Pit toilet. River nearby is not advisable to swim bcos there are leech. Okay for one night for tenting.

small but beautiful free campsite right off the highway! me & another friend tented out & felt very safe as 2 young women. we made a fire & walked around by the river to keep us busy. clean pit toilets, water wasn’t running yet but we brought our own. town is also about a 5 min drive which was convenient. the only thing we would comment on is the train which is on the other side of the highway but didn’t bother us too much. wear earplugs or headphones & you should be fine ((-: 9/10 recommend.

Popular location for campers… Train was noisy but nice campground.

Report Check-In

Nice spot, especially for a free campground. Relatively clean and quiet, aside from the fairly frequent trains.

Report Check-In

not great for sleeping in your vehicle, they are all walk in sites. the road is narrow and parking next to a site is difficult at several sites. we were there early enough to snag a good spot. mosquitoes weren't too bad. clean pit toilets.

Great place to stay. Nothing fancy, but quiet, safe and free! Was just going to stay one night while I find another location but ended up staying 4 nights. Trains go by often and some highway noise, but didn't bother me any.

Report Check-In

Just off HWY 12. Wide open loop, no hard established site boundaries -fire rings and picnic tables, free camping. Campground is very quiet, day use has lake access. Great overnight spot!

Report Check-In

Currently closed for overnight camping, due to Covid-19. Still able to day visit.

The campground it's nice, but trains pass close by all night. The horns wake you up every 2 hours or less . If you have light sleep, this place is not for you! AT&T and Verizon Internet available

Report Check-In

Exactly as described below except that the train that passes across the main street is a bit noisy during the night
