I kid you not: this is the most epic place to camp you may find on the Island!
Just off the street, down a gravel road and you will find a quiet spot, an amazing view and a path down to the lake.
Be here around two hours before sunset, so you may take a swim and enjoy the sunset over the mountains.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
As described. Very nice spot!
Enough room for 2 cars, there was already someone when I got there.
If you pass by here, it was great to meet you and watch the shooting stars with you!
See you soon maybe. Sam
Beautiful place, clean on our visit! Enough space for two vehicles and there’s a tent site down the trail, closer to the water as well. Some curious critter kept us awake at night, must’ve smelled food/garbage bag inside the van. Maybe a raccoon or similar sized animal.
Report Check-Ina beautiful spot right off the highway. have a view of the lake from where you park and a little trail leading down to big rocks where you can access the lake.
don't recommend for people with dogs. place is completly covered In Toliet paper and sh*t. filled an entire Garbage bag and didn't even get it all, please leave it better than you find it
Report Check-InWas very excited to find this site empty! Gorgeous and secluded with easy water access. The path off the highway is easy to miss if approaching on the same side of the road so keep your eye out. There’s sadly lots of toilet paper strewn about, remember your trowels folks!
Report Check-InBeautiful spot just off the highway. Some road noise. A little trail down to the lake. Beautiful views. Doesn't get much better than this!
Report Check-InWhat a Beauty. Nice spot, we decided to stay 2 nights. The lake is refreshing, it’s quite at night and an amazing view. Sunset behind the mountain. We have a long van and drove in backwards, there was not enough space to turn. It’s small so maybe for one group. Please don’t leave toilet paper in the bush.
Report Check-InGreat spot!
Room for about 3 vehicles if positioned properly!
Amazing view
Short trail to lake with a fire pit and room for a small tent!
A little road noise
Report Check-InLovely spot. If you have longer vehicle I recommend to back up, limited space to turn. Big enough for 2 vans to camp. I wouldn't recommend to stay alone, there's only one access road, but didn't have any issues..
Report Check-InLovely place. Spent two nights here. I back-in.
Please LEAVE NO TRACE
If you see a vehicle parked here, just keep moving. You’ll find another spot. It’s a 1 group site
Report Check-InGreat spot! Good for fishing, swimming and private. We parked at the end of the road and took out tent down the short path to set up closer to the lake. We were shocked to find this amazing spot empty on the Friday of a long weekend. There was a fair bit of garbage, we did our best to clean it up as well.
Report Check-InThis spot is really peaceful and easy to get to. Right on the lake, and has enough room for at least 2 vehicles!
Report Check-InAwesome secret campsite, you are close to the highway but far enough away that you don’t even notice. Lake was beautiful but was an adventure to lug our paddle boards up and down to the water. Enough space for our camper van. Spent two nights no issues.
Report Check-InIt was late at night when we got here and wanted to sleep here but when we pulled in there was a pile of belongings with a brand new Tarp laying over it and a stick holding it down. Looked like someone had just done it.straight out of a horror movie. We were too creeped out and left for the free strathacona dam campground. I’d say stay away if you see this persons belongings, seems like they live there
Report Check-InReally awesome spot! Great swimming access. Unfortunately lots of trash. We picked up 2 bags but couldn't grab the rest. Still amazing though!
