Description

Great, safe place close to many nice beaches. It's a small hotel (rooms available as well if you need one) with a beautiful, green camping space. They've got a lovely pool as well and rancho with barbeque for your use. Toilets, shower, WIFI, drinking water, electricity (might be an additional charge for big campers, we've got a 4x4 car and used it just for charging our batteries so it was free) and kitchen available for campers. It might seem a bit in the middle of nothing but it's a really nice place to wind down and in short distance to the coast. It's gated and monitored, so it is really safe. It was important for us as we've seen there were some robberies at the free camping spots in the area (like Playa Coco). Kid and pet friendly. Nice owners (Polish couple and their son). They also have bikes and buggy for rent. You can also do your laundry (5 USD per full load with drying) and order delicious breakfast (5 USD per person). Other meals might be available as well. The price is: 8 USD (NOW $10) per person and kids below 12 yo are free. Really recommended! It's totally worth it for these facilities!

edit: Price for large campers is $10 USD. Polish couple and son have moved on. new care takers are doing an amazing job! Place looks spectacular. Well kept and very clean. latest phone number as of May 2021 Adrianna +506 8712 7422. Or if no one answers the gate. Grey building across the street, main floor, last unit on the left.

Edit: we paid 20 usd for 2 adults and 2 kids

Latest Check-Ins

Even though the photos show a pool, campers are not allowed to use the pool.
It's $15 a campervan. Have correct money as it's difficult for him to give change. He says he thinks it's more bother than it's worth to be on ioverlander so he might take it off the site.

Report Check-In

Gate was locked and no one there. Called the number but no one answered. Head to the Campground in Playa Hermosa instead.

Report Check-In

Stayed there second time, looks like there is a new management, had some nice mangos fresh from the tree as well as lemons, swimming pool was very clean and this time jacuzzi was working as well.
Nice place.

Report Check-In

Place is closed. Been told that the owner is in Canada and doesn’t run it anymore, he only comes in on summers

Report Check-In

Beau camping avec Wi-Fi, douches chaudes (!!!), toilettes propres et piscine (si le resort n'est pas trop achalandé).
Pour 10$ par adulte (enfant gratuit).
Très tranquille et propriétaire sympathique!

Nice campsite with Wi-Fi, hot showers (!!!), clean toilets and swimming pool (if the resort is not too busy).
For $10 per adult (child free).
Very quiet and friendly owner!

Report Check-In

Nice place to camp with a tent. They offered us to stay under the ranch next to the pool as it has a roof and it's raining every night. Nobody else around and the pool for us. Asked 10000C/p but had it for $10/p as it was described on previous entries here. The garden is huge, and there is electricity and fridge under the ranch. Bathroom and restrooms are ok.

Report Check-In

Place is open, but nog as green as in the pictures. Swimming pool is clean, toilets not so.
The host is verry friendly.

This is marked as closed, but it’s not! It is open and running as of Feb 1st 2022. We are staying here right now. Great and super spacious campground, flat and wide spaces under the trees. Facilities as described by others. 10$ x night x person. Super nice and welcoming owner. You will be awakened by howler monkeys across the river, they’re so close you can see them. Best place we stayed so far in CR.

Report Check-In

Whatsapped them to be told they no longer do camping. Seem to have branched out into tours etc.

Report Check-In

I tried to give 5 stars but it doesn't seem to be working. I have stayed here previously and it is nicer than before. Better kept and well looked after. I stayed here in my 25' Class C during May 2021, gate height. The most up to date phone number is +505 8712 8422 Adrianna (speaks English and Spanish). If you choose to just drop by, and on the off chance no one answers the gate. The grey building across the street, last unit on the left on the main floor. Price is now $10 US for camping, includes pool, wifi etc.

Report Check-In

Looks like a nice place, but new owners apparently so now charges 10US PP a night

Report Check-In

Clearly an absolut recommendation, agreed with all former comments!
We stayed here for 2 nights after they broke in our car. We needed a safe and nice place to stay and relax and we felt like in heaven. Jack, the Canadian ownder, created a paradise here. The polish family that runs the place is very friendly and helpful, the son, Frank, speaks English.
We didn‘t feel save in Playas del Coco where we wanted to go diving and decided to come here. Absolute worth the 10km drive.
They let us park right next to the swimming pool, close to the apartments that are for rent. We were allowed to use the big kitchen with fridge and also shower and toilet of one of the rooms. It was like a hotel just with sleeping in our rooftop tent.
Highly recommended and absolutely worth the $8 pp (we were even allowed to use the washing machine for free)!

Report Check-In

Great place for just 8 dollars pp pn. Very nice owner. The hotel was empty so we could use a shower and the toilet of one of the rooms. Great pool. A lot of electricity points. Stayed for 2 nights. I think it's the best campsite we have been during our 2 week trip

Report Check-In

This Canadian owner build over the years a little paradise in Costa Rica. Gated and fully secured this place is the best if you are in the area. They have rooms if need be, but plenty of space for your camper or RV. Clean showers, toilets, kitchen and Wi-fi. For 8$ this is the best deal in town. It’s 8:30 Sunday night and this place is super quiet. Frogs are signing wishing me good night. Fort get about finding a spot near the beach. Go up, I guarantee you won’t regret it. Pura Vida

Report Check-In

Just as described! Stayed here while scuba diving in Coco. Only 16 minutes to Coco beach. Lots of wildlife, with Howler monkeys living nearby. They came across the river to the fruit trees around the rv. Owner allowed me to leave the rv here when I flew back home for a week. Far safer than paying for storage or parking at the airport. The pool is magnificent. The butterflys are all around the pool attracted to the flowers. Bring your own food to cook in the outdoor kitchen. No breakfast available right now. Will stay here again.

Report Check-In

This was a awesome spot! Lots of space to park, the pool and shaded lounger area are great. The kitchen had everything you need. There were bathrooms by the pool but they opened a room so we could use the bathroom there which had hot showers (not that you need it, it was hot). We paid $8p/p/n, for Costa Rica and the amenities we thought this was a fair price. We would recommend!

Report Check-In

The best camping spot we have found so far! Gated secure site, with swimming pool, full kitchen, bbq, toilet and cold shower on campsite. If a room is vacant you get to use the bathroom with hot shower. A full load in the washing machine is $4, and a drying line is provided. The owner Jack speaks no English, but his son Frank will interpret. They will run a lead out to the van if you need power. Lots of comfy undercover seating and tables, in fact, it's like being in a small hotel, in a beautiful setting, just using the van as your bedroom! We decided straight away to spend an extra night here after hiking the Guanacaste NP trails. Easily accessible for any vehicle too, which makes a nice change. At $8 per person, it's a little bit more than some, but more than worth the cost.

This place is a fantastic paradise! It's a large area, lots of space to camp. They have some really nice rooms as well. We camped with our tents and motos for 8usd per person. They allowed us to use electricity, the beautiful kitchen, and even opened up a room for us to use the bathroom and shower with hot water. They offered the swimming pool as well! The owners speak only a little Spanish and a little English, but their son, Frank, speaks both pretty well. Highly recommend this place!
