Description

LOCATION NOTE: This location can be a little tricky because there is a road here that doesn't show up on the map, we are located directly behind the pier. Google Maps snows the right way.

Surf/Yoga/Medicine themed camp that offers tents (with mattresses) and rooms as well as an opportunity to use your own tent or we have a drive-in for recreational vehicles around back. If you are coming in a recreational vehicle you can have access to our secure premises, showers/bathroom, wifi and kitchen for 10 soles per night

Wifi is very very slow. Not working May 2023. The place is for simple travelers who love good vibes and don't need too much infrastructure. Worth it.

As described. Paid 15s/p/night. Discount was not possible even if we arrived late and we left at 6am next day.
Don't except big infrastructures with fancy stuff. It's surf and beach vibes 👍🏖️😎. I forgot my shampoo, it's yours now.

This was a great discovery. Oceanfront wooden old warehouse converted into a spacious windowless lodge. You sleep on the first floor in one of their tents or in yours or an available room. From here the views are even better. The atmosphere is young and relaxed. A family with children live and run the place. 15 soles you own tent per night. Johnny, César and the rest of the hosts make you feel part of their big family.

# road to the surf camp:
- coming from Talara you have to cross a river, which is no problem in dry season but I imagine difficult when it rains.

- coming sraight from the PanAm highway follow the signs to get to Lobitos and NOT Google Maps. We nearly got stuck by following Google Maps and ignoring the signs 🫣

# Lobitos is (as written before) a rather "rustic" place, but great for surfing 🌊. We got "stuck" here for a week :) If you come, bring cash and supplies, and jump off the pier at least once for sunset 😊

Report Check-In

As with other reviews, a very rustic but perfectly okay spot within easy walking distance to the main surf spots.

Ask to park around back (there is a separate gate) as then you will have a nice flat surface, can get sufficient sun for solar panels and still get afternoon shade to chill in.

Still 10 soles per person to camp

Simple, rustic place with very very good vibes and nice people. WiFi is still very slow and water comes and goes (desert).
There are a few dogs and cats hanging around.

Accurate descriptions below. We paid 10soles pp to put up our tent. Really nice chilled atmosphere and a great place to relax. We liked it as it was closer to piscinas but also still close to la punta, so could surf both spots easily. Veggie moto taxi comes Monday Wednesday Saturday so barely had to leave! Great burgers also offered for 12 soles

Nice and chill place to stay.
10s pp using all the facilities. It all very basic facilities but it give the charm to the place, do not expect a 2 stars for it, but it actually could be one only for the chill feeling it gave us.
They also have a restaurant, include the 3 meals for only 20s and the food was really good !

We stayed for around 10 days here. It is an awesome place, very quiet at night. You can stay at your vehicle and use the facilities, kitchen, bathroom. We paid 10pp + 5 soles for electricity. You can buy fresh fish straight from the fishermen at the pier, and merchants come selling fruits and veg eventually. There is a small shop nearby where you can buy bottled water, cooking oil, sugar, but not much else, so bring supplies from Talara or something. It is a good spot in between the main surf spot and Piscinas.

I manage the place and have been personally working here for over 5 months into a one year long restoration project going on. It's come a long way and we are constantly upgrading, I highly recommend you come check out the view from our upstairs whether you decide to stay here or not. ;)
