Description

Hostel made from geodesic domes. The hostel is still under construction but they have two domes finished, one for 8 people and another for up to 4 people (we paid $25/night for 4 people). There is also a small area to camp if you have your own tent or they have two tents to rent ($5/pp). There is currently no grass for tents and space is a little limited. Located within walking distance to town (10-15min). Owners helped us to organize whale tour ($20/pp).

Common and kitchen areas are shared with owners. Quiet at night. Kitchen is simple but totally adequate. WIFI is fast.

A nice chilled spot with very friendly host. The camping in the parking area is nothing special but that is standard all along the coast. As it was very cloudy we could plug our power into a socket behind the bar. Still$6p.p

Nativa Whale is a great hostel/glamping environment that we parked our van in. Excellent level parking in large gravel area behind tall fences and locked gate. No height or size problems. Access to kitchen, bathrooms, and hot showers. There’s a bar (with music, but we were fine in our van with a small amount of fan sound), hammocks in the sand, an above ground pool, and a fire pit. The owner was awesome, and Angel, our host there, was super attentive when we needed help. He even walked all over town with us one day in search of a certain type of motor oil. Just a really great guy. Wi-Fi is strong, TV in the sitting area by the kitchen. No potable water for your rig if you don’t have a good filtration system, but they have water to drink for free. Everything here is super clean. Breakfast for $5 if you want, including fruits, cereals, yogurt, scrambled eggs, croissants, juices, coffee…. It’s a nice treat. We spent two nights parked right next to the beach before coming here, because the public toilets along the beach were only open sporadically and Hotel Victor Hugo and the Nantu both said no to using bathrooms and Wi-Fi, even if we paid some. We are glad they did, because we spent two weeks in town taking Spanish lessons at Clara Luna to brush up, and this place was awesome. We were sad to leave. The price was $6 per person. They were flexible on price for our kids.

The place is finished and now much nicer than on the photos.

Nice helpful owner. Hot shower. Clean kitchen to share.

There are only a few pitches for tents. You should book in advance, we were lucky that day.

There is a large parking lot, parking a camper should not be a problem at this time. (The owner says that there is still construction going on).
