Great place right off the Hwy. plenty of room and a wonderful view to wake up with. Highly recommend.
Report Check-Insuch a beautiful spot right on the water. I arrived at 8:30pm and there were a couple cars and campers. dirt road, no 4x4 needed. good verizon service. police cruiser drove by at 9:30pm, they waved and kept driving
Report Check-InWe stayed here last night - came off I 90 - it was a breezy perfect night.
Couple other people here see photos.
Beautiful spot right by the river, near the city park, and with huge grassy fields that our dog loved.
The vault toilets in the city park are pretty gross, would not recommend.
Evening is awesome with a great breeze, but morning without the breeze means all the bugs come out.
Cell service was amazing here! 4 bars vz
Report Check-InAwesome area! So many spots along the river, very peaceful and serene.
Report Check-InReally nice river parking , big rig friendly, full service . Ig @kawi_queen_
Report Check-InAs stated beautiful spot, dirt roads that yes, can be muddy and difficult in the rain so even watch the grass it could be tough to park on but four bars of LTE service and lots of grass areas for tents; not so many pull-outs for RVs but if the ground is hard it'd be good. The end of the road is the best but only one or two rigs are going to fit in there and hard to get around them especially if there's two in there. Very dark at night.
Report Check-InWent to see where this was located before settling in at the Dude Ranch. it was lovely again right on the Missouri River but decide to stay in a more secluded area.
Report Check-In2-4 LTE T-Mobile bars, was able to work. Really pretty view over the water. Ground was a bit soft but didn’t get stuck. Was not bothered, nice place to stay. 7 day limit.
Report Check-InEmerged off of Dougan Rd. Easy to find and perfect for our needs. Stayed one night. Nice and simple area to set up Gazelle tent and overland vehicle. We can hear the interstate traffic but for the most part it was like white noise in the background.
Report Check-InA Very peaceful, quiet site along the Missouri River. It was windy the night we were there, so no bugs. Only 2 other campers, spaced far away.
Report Check-InLoved this spot! So much space and we had the entire place to ourselves right on the water. There was a breeze and we even got to do a little foiling in the river. If ever back through we will definitely stop again.
Report Check-InWe stayed here for one night and it was awesome! Beautiful, peaceful and quiet, and the temperature felt great. There was a nice breeze. We only saw one other car, and there’s plenty of space to park far apart if you want more privacy.
The may flies are out right now and got all over parts of our truck to stay out of the wind I guess, but they didn’t really bother us. Just shoo them away and they’ll leave.
You are close to a small town tooso there isn’t total darkness, but you’re far enough away to feel pretty secluded. Highly recommend this place.
Camped here the Monday before Sturgis , I’m the only one here. 90 degrees out . No shade . Wind from Canada. No bugs . Not sure if it’s always windy. Felt like low 80s.
Next morning, no wind. A few other campers pulled in but were spread far apart didn’t even hear them.
Some garbage. Left it cleaner then when arrived
Respect others, there is enuff room - don’t camp 10ft from someone who has camped .
Report Check-InPulled in at 9 pm. When you come down the road make the right on the dirt road and then a left towards the river. There are no designated spots. We just parked far enough away from others.
**Please clean up after your selfs. ***
No issues and enjoyed the river being less thank a few steps away.
Great spot.
No real I-90 noise. Bugs would have been an issue. Thankfully we have a big free room
No bathrooms
Lots of space and not full at all. Very quiet. No 4x4 or high clearance recommended. The spots are very unclear but it looks like most people were just picking wherever. 3-4 bars Verizon LTE. Very close to town.
Report Check-InVery nice place to stay! It is very quiet and right on the water. The park down from the spots has a pit toilet but idk if it is ever used or cleaned. Great Verizon service.
Report Check-InSeveral dirt roads to open spaces along Missouri River. 7-day limit, generally pretty quiet-can hear some of the traffic from I-90 but nothing crazy.
Report Check-InPretty nice site. We pulled in around 1am and no one was here. Come morning we woke up on the river. Rained all night but doesn’t look muddy, super windy though. Full att lte.
Individual sites were a bit confusing but we just pulled a little out of the way of the second loop
Report Check-InBeautiful little spot. Felt decently private but close to nearby services. 4 bars T-Mobile LTE service. Room for van and a tent.
Report Check-InNice spot near the muddy Missouri River, can’t take a bath but it’s a nice spot to camp surrounded by wild sun flowers and very secluded spot. It’s muddy when rain other wise it’s easy to get to the riverbank. Full of bugs after dark!!! So many flies and took us a whole day to get rid of them all!
Report Check-InRight on the Missouri River. Pulled in around 8 pm and we only seen one spot occupied. We're 15' from the river and Park within walking distance. We settled in for dinner and some shut-eye. Quiet so far w numerous boats on the river. Definitely would recommend it. I can see where other reviews didn't stay if it was rainy though.
Report Check-InLoved this spot! Hardly a soul around. Huge swath of black-eyed Susans. River right outside my windows, with nothing but cliffs and nature on the other shore. Verizon 4 bars LTE.
Report Check-InNice spot but weird town. opened my door at 11pm & there were a few guys fishing? / quietly wading around in the bushes/river with headlights right in the camp site, like 4 ft from my door. Kinda creepy. Nice fireflies & 2 Bars LTE though.
Report Check-InVery nice, flat areas next to water, some trees and vegetation to provide privacy. Beautiful sunset and sunrise.
Report Check-InThis place was so easy to find. There are a few winding dirt roads and a sign that says “camping for up to 7 days. We drove right up to the water and parked between two bushes. Another car was parked way on the other side. There was plenty of room. It was lovely waking up next to the water. There was a park outhouse that was presently clean. No running water.
Report Check-InTried to stay here tonight but the camping area is flooded out. Talked to a local and you can still camp at the park, but we're going to leave and try to find another site with less mosquitos.
Report Check-InI had chosen this area first, but of the 3 out of 4 entrances it just looked too muddy to take a class A and toad down; the 4th one, wasn't too bad, so we walked it till toward the E ? until I saw the next batch of pink rocks/stones on the left, it was pretty muddy at that point and I never did see a place big enough to be able to turn around much less do major backing up without having to unhook the toad, so we headed for Dude Ranch. This would have been nice except for the issue if getting stuck and getting out without too much trouble . . .
Report Check-Inbeautiful free camping along the river! limit 7 days dry camping here. let's keep this one clean and beautiful!
