Description

If heading toward St Regis, after crossing the river on 135, there is a National Forest Peninsula road on the left (from St Regis it is before the bridge and on your right). You can follow that road and there are many informal camping spots. If you keep going, there are spots on the river. The river spots have some noise in the evening and during the day from trains (maybe 6 trains during the day). Some distant highway noise by the water. Pit toilets but no water. We didn’t have ATT service on the main road, but halfway down the forest road we got 4G coverage. 4G Verizon coverage.

I have a 37' 5th with an 8' motorcycle trailer in tow. very easy to access. road well maintained. stayed in a spot near the end. In order to turn around with a large rig, you need to back into a campsite. Great view and easy access to the river. I had several choices of campsites that would fit my large rig. free with pit toilet and 3 bars Verizon 4g.

Absolutely beautiful spot in the forest right next to the river.. has a nice fire pit. Possible to find a pretty level area to park
Some very distant noises from the train and the road - not significant
Around 5/6 other spots on the excess dirt road that brought us here
2/3 bars of cell reception for Verison and AT&T
We saw just one other camper in one of the spots.. very private during the winter😄

Don’t stop when you enter of highway.
Keep going. It is not a loop but at the end there is sandy camping and solid but sandy roads. This place is beautiful. We were expecting to stay just one quick night. Spent two nights. It is not private. You will have neighbors in the summer. Clean. Great job by people keeping it nice. Cleanest port-o-potty I’ve ever seen. There are a few port-o-potties and one tank toilet. No water. Bridge noise is minor. Only heard one train all day and night. Lots of shade. We will be back.

Just as described. Great Verizon coverage if needed.

Really nice place. As described, several pull-offs many with river access and great cell phone signal further down the road. A little trash around our site but overall not bad. Nice place to stay, especially when you need cell service for work. Would stay here again!

This place along the Clark Fork was fantastic. Came for a night and stayed four. Theres way more trains than 6 (as posted) but who cares. You can hear the road noise told but it's not too bad. We kayaked the river from St. Regis to our campsite. Nice hiking across the road up a forest service road. Theres also campsites up that road. Watched a bald eagle fish while having dinner at the campfire. We loved it here ! Great Verizon service as well.

Beautiful spots by Clark Ford River. Free. Great boondocking site. Strong AT&T signal (4bars). Easy road in and made it to a wonderful spot right by the river with a 28' class A rv. Stone fire pits but nothing else. The train wasn't too loud but noticed it now and then...

Super nice and secluded from the road. One spot to the right as you pull in with many others down the road

Nice place in the wood, just follow the trail further for quiet spot near the river.
nobody except us. fire ring + wood

Still a great place. lots of sites some have tables. right on the river. was very quite and only a few other people around but not noticable at all as there is so much room around. the site we stayed at had a ton of wasps so being outside was a bit hard.
