Exposed, paved parking lot rest area off highway 20 next to the river. Lots of road noise and fairly busy with vans and day use people.

Picnic tables by the water and garbage cans. No bathroom.

Latest Check-Ins

The road was quiet between 10:30 pm - 5:00 am, there was a good amount of traffic outside of those hours Sunday evening into Monday morning. Nice easy place for a quick overnight. Good TMobile service here.

Report Check-In

It is in night calm to sleep near the river.

Report Check-In

Rolled up next to the river near an apple tree. Some vehicles passing during the night, but also the nice river sounds and morning birdsong. The edges of the parking lot were recently mowed so the place had a park-like feel. Maybe because it was the night before a holiday, but there were 6 vehicles along the river and another 5 in the lot by the road.
Everyone was quiet and respectful.
Lovely spot for the night - might stop again on the return trip.

Report Check-In

Not the worst place for the night. But wish I would have looked closer and went just 20 minutes up the road to free campgrounds. This place is very exposed, busy and the cars are very loud. Traffic did seem to slow quite a bit through the night. Slept okay but not enjoyable at all. Some spots right along the river that are pretty to wake up to. But still loud.

Report Check-In

Stayed for two nights, only bother was construction crews getting their equipment in the morning. Nice views of the river. There’s apple trees along the river, picked a couple.

We stayed at Sutter Creek Rest Area one night on our way to North Cascades. There were other vans, campers and trucks. It was quiet by 10pm. Good Verizon signal. The river was enjoyable. Photo attached to show proximity to the river from our van.

Report Check-In

Perfect spot right off the road, large enough for RV. Several vans here with us tonight. Some road noise to be expected but not bad.

Report Check-In

Beautiful views of snow-covered mountains. Monday evening and it is pretty quiet, both on the read and in the roadside park. Two other vans and two car camoers are staying here. In WA, one can stay in a roadside park for 8 hrs but there are no signs posting time limits. Please do not stay more than one night and be stealth. This is not a campground. Please do not do a generator/ slide out/ music speaker/full outdoor grill setup. It is really quiet and on the low-down.

A county truck did drive down the road but not through the park and a sheriff’s car pulled in, looked like he was doing paperwork and left. No knocks throughout the night.

Report Check-In

Stayed two nights and had no issues either night. Slept on the side next to the river

Report Check-In

Absolutely recommended, really quiet after 9pm...expected more cars but not busy at all.

Report Check-In

Very close to the road. It's a very exposed parking lot.

Report Check-In

Great place to boon-dock at Mile post 100, Right off the highway. Some Hwy traffic noise. But, situate your vehicle to block noise. We backed into the parking spot because we sleep over the cab in the RV. There are 5 or 6 picnic tables. The river is so pretty and you can see the snow covered mountains off in the distance.

Report Check-In

No restrooms. Great 5G. Some road noise. went to bed and 2 vans were here. Woke up to about 4 more

this place was awesome, right on the river and the road noise was minimal even though it's right on the road. we stayed two nights. they have picnic tables by the water too, and a wayside explaining bald eagle migratory habits which was very interesting. very close to north cascades national park. 2 gas stations very close to this spot as well. we stayed two nights and there were lots of other overnight campers there, in everything from a pickup truck to a big class A RV with slides. good cell service too.

Sutter Creek rest area off HWY 20. Large paved pull off right next to Skagit River. There is a couple of picnic tables. No restrooms. I arrived around 10pm and saw about 2 smaller RV, a few larger ones, a few cars (mine included) and a van. There are trash cans there so please toss your trash or pack it out with you. Some noise off the hwy but not too bad as it gets later. The sound of the river is worth it.
