Free campsite next to the river. The ranger at the visitor center told us about this spot. He also said that you can overnight basically anywhere in the NF as long as it’s not on the Highway and right on the river. Very calm and quiet. You can either park by the water or between the trees. Beautiful views. Some picnic tables and pit toilet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Very nice spot, as described! Arrived in a Sunday afternoon and had the place all for ourselves.
Report Check-InGreat spot. 5-6 spots total. Clean bathroom (pit). Free, with a picnic table and fire pit.
Report Check-InWe wanted to stay at this spot however we had no cell service (Verizon) which we needed for work. If you don’t need any cell service this seems to be an awesome spot right next to the water
Report Check-InWonderful. I drove in the area a bit and checked out the other wild camp spots on here and this was the only one I saw w open flat ground. There’s a water control mini dam like structure that produces fairly loud waterfall sound that I find relaxing like white noise by ymmv.
Views of the water are great. 2-3 bars Verizon lte.
Report Check-InNice site if it's not busy, but on a weekend probably better to pay the $10 for the other campgrounds to not have to listen to generators running all night.
Report Check-InWow this place is awesome, picnic tables, level ground, near the water, pit toilets and the cherry on top is the trash cans. Accessible to any vehicle. I’m here on a Friday in mid September and I’m the only person and there are about 5-7 spots. No T-Mobile cell service.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay when visiting the hot springs. 10 miles from the springs. Pit toilets and picnic tables. Quiet place.
Report Check-InTons of flat spaces, some with picnic tables and fire rings. Loved it 💙
Report Check-Ingreat little set of campsites. sadly some trash around - pack your trash and leave no trace!
Report Check-In5 basic campsites off a National Forest road. Many tall pine trees. Boat ramp and potential fishing in lake. Very quiet and best of all free! Pack your trash out folks... and yes I'm talking about the people who has our site before us. This site has now been cleaned up for the next person to enjoy.
Report Check-InBoat launch, fire pit, clean pit toilets. Overall very lovely. Free with plenty of parking
Report Check-InGreat campsite, feels so far away but the road is fairly easy. No AT&T signal, could be some scenic picture opportunities if not rainy and cloudy. So quiet or really deep sleep, but I parked up at dark and there was only 2 others on site. Woke in the morning to find a van parked really close to me, but not invading my space.
Report Check-InSurprisingly clean restrooms, about 6 sites here, but some people looked pretty cozy, like they have been there a long time and expect to be there a while longer.
Report Check-InGreat free campsites right on the water! The Verizon LTE is very strong here!
Report Check-InAs described free campground. There might be some noise of generators as they are unfortunately not prohibited.
Report Check-InLoved this place. So nice and secluded really felt off the grid. Surprised to see 3-4 other groups around but nice we all kept to ourselves and there was already a stack of fire wood ready for us!
Report Check-Innice free campground with tables, fire rings and pit toilets. Very quiet, we were alone when we were there. We visited it with our 23 feet motorhome.
