This is a parking lot at the Mount Begbie lookout. You can stay here for max 14 days. It is close to the busy road. Good cell phone reception, picnic tables, garbage bins, and pit toilets.

came here late, had a decent sleep. road noise isn't loud but not zero. pretty large open parking lot. hiked to the lookout in the morning, great view.
even though there's free garbage cans people still seem to leave their trash all over the ground, for shame.
would stay here again!

Amazing vista on the caribou highway drove all the way to the fire lookout would highly recommend the track up
Report Check-InSpent a good night here in my car camper. Noise from the highway, but that’s a given bring so close. Lots of room in 2 parking areas for all size rigs. Don’t take either of the 2 roads leaving the area. The first is a narrow rough road up to the lookout and there’s only one place to backup to and turn around at. There is a trail up just up the first road though. Worth the hike! The 2nd road appears to go to a residence, although no signs saying private, but 2 vehicles came and went down it while I was here. All in all, this was a very nice free spot to spend the night!
Report Check-InDrove down the bumpy gravel road and found a nice quiet level spot for the night. Highway noise is a low hum and we have good tree cover for shade. Two bars LTE. Two other camper vans in the main parking lot
Report Check-InWe went through the gate and down that road just a bit and parked to get away from the road noise. Still had great cell service and wasn’t bothered. Several people camped out in the parking lot. Definitely take the short hike, it’s worth it!
Report Check-InAddition to previous entry....put toilets were as to be expected, very few mosquitos but several bee/fly creatures that settled down as the sun went down. Great 15 minute hike to lookout but wear solid shoes, very steep

Report Check-InWas here about a month ago for a short break and hike up to the tower. Liked it enough to stop in and spend the night this evening. Dark but lots of room/level ground for my truck house. Garbage cans, outhouses and picnic benches are a bonus. Good spot.
Report Check-Infree. stayed one night. very quite at night. lot is a loop, so big rigs don't bother with making a u-turn ;)
Report Check-InJust stayed for lunch and walked up to the lookout. Took about 6 minutes to get to the top. Well worth it. the views are awesome! The trail is a bit steep. Good shoes are recommended.
Report Check-InAmazing stop, great views from the top of the hill and a neat old fire lookout. Met a German couple here that were really friendly with their van imported from Germany!
Report Check-InNot a bad spot except for the traffic noise. The viewpoint has awesome sunsets, but there’s some broken glass so watch your pet’s feet. No TP in the outhouse either so be prepared.
Report Check-InEasy place with flat spots , pit wc , super quiet night , no traffic on the highway after 10:00pm and before 7:00am . Good internet signal , picnic tables.

Report Check-InNice level area next to a viewpoint. Not far from the road so you can hear it a little bit but Can not be seen. Plenty of space and can fit any size of rig. Two camping tables and pit toilets that we did not use. The view from the top of the hill is pretty nice ! :)
