A very lovely spot next to the river. Quiet except for the occasional train & ducks. Only 1 other camper here and a few fisherman. A wonderful scenic spot with several spacious sites. Beautiful autumn weather, light rain at night.

Great free campground. Pit toilets were clean with soft toilet paper! What a treat!😜

this is a stunningly beautiful spot, can't recommend more on that merit alone. wish I could have been here during a nicer time of year so I could spend more time here. alas I only spent a day and a night here as it was cold as hell and the first snow of the year was creeping down in elevation. hope to return during the summer in the future.

really great, free camp ground, I highly recommend it.
Spaces are massive, are in the morning sun and afternoon shade. River is great for fishing and swimming with great access for both. Lots of eagles, osprey (fishing), deer and we even saw a hummingbird and a moose and calf bathing on the opposite bank.
Train is near enough but not loud enough to be a bother at night.
Really awesome spot!

Very surprising to have campground basic needs along a major river for free. Many people here will fishing or ski boats enjoying the expanse of the Clark Fork, others with kayaks and SUPs.

Quiet place to spend the night.

Some larger sites, many smaller strung along next to each other like an angled parking lot

Beautiful campground. Seasonal host. 15 sites and quite a few of them large and could handle 2 maybe even 3 rigs. All were located near the river and all had firepit and table. 3 vault toilets were spread out and they were clean during our visit...although the furthest one in the day use / boat trailer parking area was out of TP. Boat ramp and a fishing dock. We had sporadic 1-2 bar cell service with T-Mobile.

I was disappointed that this shared campground between the United States Forest Service and Avista, allowed the camp host to post political items. This place was also quite poorly maintained. I chose not to stay.

Great campground. This place is nicer than most paid campgrounds. It was only us and three other campers. Great access to the lake. Cell service is not the best. But I would definitely stay again.

This is not USFS Campground, property is private owned by Avista Utilities and open to the public for Recreation. I am the camp host and on site from May thru Oct.

Beautiful established camping along a wide spot in the river. Some boat traffic, but generally very peaceful and distanced. Both camping and pit toilets open at the time of this post, no covid closures. Good place to swim, nice trail along the river at the north end. Established fire pits/grills as well.

This a USFS designated campground with no fee (free camping). There is about 20 sites and two boat launches. All sites are within 25 meters of the water high mark. Road is is graded gravel and has clearance for large RVs. Most of the campsites can accommodate 50+ foot length.
