Something not right?

Description

The previous spot was taken and the people didn’t want to share saying there are several sites by the road. We drove a bit more and found this place by the lake. There were two rigs at the other side of the road where the site is bigger. Here there was enough space for our camper truck, even it is not leveled. You can pitch a tent here too. Nice fire pit by the lake. Protect from the wind too, lots of trees.

Pretty sweet spot. We pitched a tent here no problem and there is beautiful beach access. Would absolutely stay here again.

If you are towing a trailer I would not suggest this spot it is very tight and the road is a dead end it took a lot of effort to turn around

Tried to park with RTT about 25 feet from a van and got yelled at for “invading their spot” by a ranger. Directed us to a tiny tent spot on the other side of the road. Not bad for a night or two but wouldn’t want to set up camp properly here

Beautiful spot right on the water with fire pit. I stayed here two nights. Locals use the lake access to put in rafts to float down the river. They will walk through the site to get to it. Most are nice and will ask if it’s okay, some will not even acknowledge you. It wasn’t constant, maybe 2-3 times a day. It didn’t really bother me since there aren’t really other options for them, just something to be aware of. If you want more privacy I suggest camping across the road for more secluded sites.

Sweet spot in a little pull out off the road. Looks out on the lake, there is a cabin/resort situated across the water. Pretty quiet although there is some little bit of road noise. The water is beautiful!

Beautiful spot by a lake with views of the area. You can hang out on the beach, swim, kayak, SUP, etc. When we arrived there were 6-7 cars parked, but by 6pm they had all left and we had the spot to ourselves. No service for me (att, vzw, Google Fi).

Wild camping near the spillway of Slide Lake. Road that has been reported as “terrible” is under construction - looks like it’l be paved up past this point. Was perfectly smooth for our journey up, but had to wait for and follow a pilot car for several miles to avoid construction vehicles.

We arrived mid-afternoon, and essentially all of the 6 or 7 decent sites were taken. Fortunately some day-users occupying the site along the lake shore left and we took that site.

Report Check-In

We camped here for three nights in a tent. It was incredibly difficult to find a flat enough spot for a tent. Luckily our tent is tiny. I would NOT recommend anything along Taylor Ranch rd for tent camping. There is tons of camping further if Gros Ventre. There was quite a bit of trash. Please clean up after yourselves.

Great spot right on the lake. Not quite flat, but close enough. Could fit 2 vehicles without an issue. Calm lake, great for paddle boarding. Excellent night's sleep. No cell service. Beautiful spot 10-15 minutes from the park entrance.

Excelente lugar para acampar al lado de un lago.
