Large, multi-spot area. Camping is free, but a permit is required to be on all Washington FWS land. Main attraction is gravel boat ramp at the end. Just spent one night, rolled in late and left at sunrise. One or two others were there and seemed to do the same. A perfect road trip overnight, but nice enough to spend a day.

Boat launch area with about 10 or so sites. No fire rings or picnic tables. No amenities. Just flat ground where you are able to park for free. It’s nice being right next to the water, but there is a shooting range nearby so be aware of that. Sign says max 3 day stay.
Report Check-InOk spot, by the water, fairly clean overall. We’re the only ones here, very quiet, good cell service
Report Check-InNice camping right off route 2. We picked up a discover pass from REI in Spokane for more boondocking possibilities and used it here. Not much shade but level sites and a pit toilet. Clean and quiet. Ok cell signal.
Report Check-InLots of bugs and lots of trash. We didn’t end up staying because of the bugs. I like to be able to keep my windows and doors open for fresh air
Report Check-InRolled in late and left early. As described above but I’d add that our site had a distinct smell - like it was too close to an outhouse. Not pleasant! Other sites were likely better. It was dark and sites were not marked well for nighttime arrivals so we put up with it.
Report Check-InThis is a great spot to camp . Discovery pass is required.Good cellphone service.
Report Check-InNice, free* (with discover pass) camp spot must the lake, plenty of bird noises. No facilities except a toilet (which is pristine as of now). Nothing exceptional (unobstructed lakeside would be nicer) but does the business and then some. Pretty good T-Mobile.
Report Check-InDiscovery Pass that is technically required for use can be purchased online through WA DNR, only $35 for a year, I wanna say $11 for a day pass. Great spot, although trashed. Make sure you pack it out
Report Check-InSweet little spot with 12 or so sites with fire pits. Pit toilet. Good sprint reception. Lots and lots and lots of bugs 🐛. Couldn't keep windows open at night.
Report Check-InGreat little free camp spot, with Forest Pass. Just off highway 2 on Banks Lake. Quiet, gravel roundabout with sites cut in. No campfires allowed right now, but a pit toilet. Fair warning, there’s a bit of trash around the toiletshed, but actual sites mostly clean. Good overnight pit stop; some kayaks Ed staying the weekend.
Report Check-InPrimitive camping area at the boat ramp of Banks Lake near Coulee City. 1 mile from the highway. Peaceful and quiet. Pit toilet. No fee. We were alone there.
