This place was amazing!!! Just an FYI, it will have you exit at the rest stop, but follow the directions that are given through Google maps it will take you to the entrance with an open gate. As you drive back, there are several locations where you can Pull in in camp. But this location was particularly sexy. Hope you enjoy!
Report Check-InMerveilleuse place et une très belle vue sur un lac. J'ai une roulotte de 25 pieds et un pick up, pas de problème de place. Merci encore pour ce bel endroit.
Report Check-InWhat a hidden gem! Plenty of flat gravel parking. Shared a big lot with on other camper van. Wooded with a waterview. Serene except for a bit of road noise.
Report Check-InPros: close to highway, beautiful wooded area with lake, other campers, no broken glass, nice gravel road in, Free!
Cons: highway noise, little bit of trash, could be bad if there were mosquitoes
This spot is amazing. Please don't Eff this up. Cleaning up bear bottles and debris around the site.
Report Check-InGreat spot with lakes and numerous designated camping areas. Enter at White River rest area. Head towards the areas designated for cars and mobiles. On the south side there is an open gate to a well maintained dirt/gravel road. Numerous camping areas with no road noises.
Good cell reception.
At the main Rest area there is a tame Guinea Hen named Penny. She likes oatmeal cookies.
This feels like a secret spot! Beautiful area that was very quiet. Campsite is flat and I didn’t see anyone else all night long. 1-2 bars of AT&T.
Report Check-Ingreat spot! good verizon service. faint sound of cars and occasional siren from i-40 but we slept like logs. birds chirping in the morning. super buggy tho in mid march
Report Check-Inroad is temporarily closed (so is rest area) but the rest stop is dark and available for parking, but we decided to drive the extra half hour to the next dispersed camping heading east. the rest stop is under construction and you currently have to backtrack ten miles to get back on the highway eastbound.
Report Check-InSuch a cool spot! Down a long gravel road, we drove there at night and saw some armadillos! Fire pit and a bunch of firewood already cut and just laying around. Decent AT&T and Verizon service. Surroundings look secluded but you can hear the cars from i40 (not too loud though) and very pretty lake nearby. Looked like there were some other camp spots further down the road as well.
Report Check-InGreat little area for an overnight. Clearly marked campsites just beyond the rest area on a gravel road.
We have 2 bars of 4G LTE on T-mobile at our site.
Steady road noise as you're just off 40.
Primitive Campsites.
Restrooms nearest the campsite appears closed with Porta Potties outside.
All sights were empty and available. We pulled in at 7pm on a Tuesday.
Sites are flat, a couple very large sites you could pull a 35'+ in to.
Beautiful site but the is MOSQUITO HELL. I would avoid if it’s mosquito season. I opened the camper door for a split second and I was being bitten for hours from all the misquote that flew in.
Report Check-InVery beautiful spot right off I-40 on a gravel road right behind a rest stop. 👌
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. Very accessible for non 4x4 van. 1 LTE bar on AT&T. Good amount of space for multiple rigs. Spaces before and after these coordinates once you take a left onto the gravel/dirt road. All are marked with designated campsite signs and blue markers on trees surrounding the area! Quiet with light sound of the highway traffic. Nice spot to wake up to, limited travel on the road mostly just hunters passing by.
Report Check-Inexcellent location right off the highway. several designated campsites (with signs) with flat parking off a nice gravel road. the rest area is currently closed on both sides of the highway but there are portos. excellent boondocking spots.
Report Check-InDecent little spot - very quiet and peaceful. Campsites are marked and had no issues for an overnight back here
Report Check-InThe gate off the exit is closed, however if you get off the exit before and take a gravel road the campsites are still open. Nice quiet location!!
Report Check-InTried to stay here but couldn't- gate to the access road from the rest stops was locked when i drove in at 6pm. I was driving westbound and didn't think the 30 minute eastbound detour via Rt 33 was worth the risk of another gate being locked. Looks beautiful in the photos, sad we didn't get to check it out! headed up the road to another location instead.
Report Check-InHalf dozen established but primitive campsites along Webb Lake Road. Most have fire circles but there are no facilities.
