A small clearing among the pine trees. Feels like a proper little forest for a change. Out of sight of the road. Our Landcruiser just fit through the trees into the small clearing. Bigger rigs could park in the clearing just in front, which is however somewhat in sight of the road.
Another pretty spot is just 100m upstream on the riverbank with mountain views, but that’s in full sight.

Lovely place between the trees. A bit tricky to find a completely flat spot, but it’s possible. The place is beautiful with mountains around and the river flowing just beside the spot. Some trucks pass by because of the gold mine further up the road. The river masks the noise though, and you’re hardly visible from the road.
4x4 and some clearance is necessary for the ramp leading off the road onto the grass, the rest is fine with 2WD. Perfect and quiet place to spend the night before hiking to the waterfall. The hike gets crowded from 10 am and onwards, so we recommend doing it really early. You will have it to yourself and the views are extraordinary.
Report Check-InNice spot in between trees. The smaller clearing could be reached if you cut some branches. We didn't and stayed at the bigger clearing. 4x4 & high clearance necessary now due to the recently graded road and the high bank down from it.
Report Check-InBeautiful place! Fitted in even with a fiat ducato transporter. You can hear the road, but the river is more noticeable, so the road noice doesn’t really matter. Road conditions up here are great.
