A small Campground, run by the Village. Very basic, but really ok! There are two hot showers and flush toilets, but no dishwashing facility.
It's normally 10 Dollars for a tent, 20 for a vehicle and plus 5 for water at the site. But I was told by a local, that they didn't collect this year - so it was free!
There are 5 sites, two of them might be suitable for big rigs.
Restaurants and Shops are nearby in the Village.
Great cell phone signal here.

Ehemaliger Campground. Super Stellplatz mit Sitzmöglichkeiten und Feuerstellen. Wenn man die Abendfähre genommen hat, der Top Stellplatz!
Sehr ruhig.
The name is actually John Budd Memorial Park in the South Baymouth village.
Free camping, picnic table, fire pit. No water, no power. Pit toilet are closed for this time of the year (May 4th, 2024)
Very quitet place in a Cedar small forest, lost of song birds, you might hear some loud pickup trucks and quads on the road nearby but it is not an issue. A perfect place before taking the ferry the next day.
Really great leveled places between trees and just give a deposit at the Shell station. Just a few minutes walk to the harbour, with gift shops, cafes and even some historical museums. Very nice and friendly town. You have to watch the ferry comes and goes as well as the hiking trail on the lake.
Thanks a lot.
Free and calm campground at South Baymouth. Hot and clean shower. This is a free campground but you can donate at the shell station. Please donate for the service otherwise this spot could close.
Report Check-InBel endroit pour passer la nuit après le traversier. Nous avons un vr 25 pieds. Il y avait une tente sur le terrain d’à côté. Gratuit.
Report Check-InAs of 23 May 2023 this campground is technically closed so no facilities but the spots are still open for free camping. lovely quite, private spots for vans or tents. highly recommend
Report Check-InJust adding: some friendly guy came by, saw us having a campfire and gave us a bundle of firewood. We left what we didn’t need for the next person. It’s next to the firepit at the site that shows our Sprinter (see photos).
Report Check-InIt’s all a bit confusing as everyone we asked if it’s open and okay to overnight there just said “probably…?”. Eventually we talked to someone who told us to go see the guy in the little brick building at the port, close to the tourist office. He said that we can stay & charged us 10$. It’s a nice simple camp surrounded by woods, some sites have fire pits. There’s a building with toilet & shower, very clean but water is cold. There’s picnic tables around.
Report Check-InGot here counting on the posted pictures but found permanently closed by this date. Drove to South Bay Resort, found that one closed for season and was finally directed to Manitoulin Echo park
