National Forest land along a NF Rd - close to Wind Cave NP. Little meadow between trees. Some cows might wander around. Seems quiet. Out of sight from the county road. Can likely camp anywhere along the lanes, further down the gravel road are additional level open areas, but need a higher clearance vehicle at times.

As described. Lots of cows grazing (loud mooing). Spotty Verizon service. Great clear sky for star viewing. Basically just camped right close to the gravel road. 2 cars drove by and didn’t bother us.

Great spot for a night. East to get to for pretty much every vehicle and plenty of room for big rigs. Very tall grass in most parts of the meadow but we didn’t have any issues with bugs or ticks. Heard some loud animal noises at night but couldn’t discern what it was coming from. Lots of cows on the drive in from Hot Springs but none around this particular spot. The road continues on into some trees so you may have some better coverage there if you’d prefer a little privacy. 1-2 bars Verizon but very spotty. No fire ring or amenities. You drive on some folks’ land to get here from Hot Springs and there are many signs differentiating private property from NF. You will cross a cattle grate and see a sign when you officially enter NF.
Report Check-Indo not stay here in the summer unless you enjoy the smell of baking cow poop. also do not stay here if you have a dog because they may get smelly. hardly any shade. no real pull off for camping. not a fan. won’t be staying!
Report Check-InIt’s a perfect little place if you want to be alone. Very quiet, a few car passed on the main road, but we were not disturbed by it.
Report Check-InVery peaceful campsite among the pines. Roads to get here were gravel but in excellent condition. Pull offs might be muddy after long rains, but when we were here it was fine. No fire ring. A black bear wandered through our campsite around dusk so practice good bear safety. No trash, so please keep this place pristine and pack it out!
Report Check-InBeautiful grassy area surrounded by pines. Most peaceful I have ever been in. Rolling lanes/trails to walk. It is very remote and takes about 8 miles of gravel road to get to. Lots of cow piles, but in hours of walking never found the cows :)
