Beautiful location but far too expensive for what you get. Rates start at $49 for basic spots (70E-West Dune Way is a good one), prime spots (like 64-West Dune Way) are far more expensive. You clearly pay for the location, which is indeed nice: the large campground occupies an entire peninsula with woods, ponds, marshland and several ocean front sandy beaches. Swimming, kayaking, boating and hiking at the very end of the finger down to Small Point. No hook-up (picknick tables and fire pit provided in all well spread out sites) and not for big rigs. Facility blocks are old and not well maintained. Dish washing sink missing. Shower works ok. Cash payment only.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Called them today. They do not allow camper vans. They said “you people with RVs cause too much damage”. No problem. Many other options nearby that are less expensive and welcoming.
