Latvia
Informal campsite of Gauda National Park. Follow the road until you reach a parking area, then follow the dirt track for 400 meters or so. Probably not reachable with a big rig, and it can get slippery after rain. It's a nice place with shelters and a pit-toilet - the campsite seemed to be mostly used by kayak-teams. There are signs saying you're allowed to make a fire and camp.
You'll find the Ķūķu klintis stone-wall directly across the river.

The shelters aren't here anymore, but there are piles of firewood with nails in it, so that's probably what happened to them. There was some kind of canoeing event on the river on Saturday so we were joined here by some spectators. All very friendly. The river water is very clear; we used it for washing and cooking. If you're here in warmer weather, you could swim in it as well. When it has rained, I'd recommend only driving here if you have 4x4.
