Something not right?

Description

It’s a new campsite with two chalets. Wonderful location in a wine farm. You’ll see the turn off on the main road, cross the railway and take right follow the road to the campsite about 600m.

Campsites are 150 Namibian per person. Each site has electricity points, basin and firepit for braai. There is a pretty big roofed area. Each site is pretty private
Toilets and showers are communal as expected also very nice and colourful.

Chalets like the other buildings are in stones and red bricks. Very colourful. Price is 500$ per person. Children half price.

There is the chance to do wine tastings as well as buying braai meet and provisions.

Officially it will open from October 2018 but I was allowed to stay here now. (Still not open, December 2018)

We loved this place. Lovely campsite with covered kitchen area overlooking the vineyards. We did the wine tasting with platter which was amazing. The wines were not bad. the staff and owner were very friendly. Would definitely recommend a stopover here. The ablutions were great.

We stayed here the second time within one week as we really loved that place. The sites have a shelter, drinking water (very delicious) and electricity and the ablutions are super clean and the hot water has the nicest water pressure. One of the best showers we had in all over Africa.
The best thing about this place however are the owners Tamara and Gilmar. They run the vineyard and sell their wines and offer delicious food at the camp.
If you like to do wine tasting they will arrange a wonderful dinner at the vineyard nearby which is run by Gilmar‘s parents. You can taste their wines while eating the nicest of food. Everything comes at a very reasonable price, also the beautiful cottages that are available at the campsite. Highly recommended!

As soon as we came across this place on iOverlander, we knew we had to visit it! Our stay was fabulous and beyond all of our expectations. The campsite is spotless, with amazing bathrooms decorated very tastefully! Nothing but the sound of birds and stunning views over the vineyards. We also had an unbelievable dinner with wine tasting at Gilmar's parents place next door. Would highly recommend and can't wait to return one day!

Beautiful campsite overlooking a vineyard surrounded by stunning hills! I really enjoyed my stay here and I felt at peace with the nature. Tamara and Gilmar live 300 meters further from the camp, if no one is around for a moment just enjoy your stay already and there is for sure someone coming anytime soon.

We visited this camp but there was no-one here, and no-one came after a short wait, so we left. All seemed to be as already described, except it still doesn't quite look finished (still a bit untidy with a 'building yard' feel about it!), no staff and no signage - so I think perhaps it's not yet open. A shame as it looks like it has great potential and will be a lovely campsite one day!
The turning from the main road (not yet signposted) is at: -19.64451, 17.46176
