Something not right?

Description

They no longer allow camper vans into the park at all. They said there have been so many people who came in with their camper van, promising not to spend the night, but then did spend the night. So now they don't allow us in at all because they no longer trust us. You could probably get in with a more discreet car, but not with anything that looks like a camper. (We have a Sportsmobile) The guy said we could take all our stuff out and leave it in a restaurant and that might work. (We didn't try that, we just left!) Also, note he said Playa Cristal cannot be visited unless you arrive early, before 8am, else it reaches capacity.

Annoying experience, you pay, pay, pay (entrance fee P person + car + insurance per person + parking at the beach + boat to and fro Bahía Cristal) If you don't go for Bahía cristal you are stuck at the car park at the very quaint beach and subsequently subject to halfhearted but nonetheless aggressive selling of inferior food for top prices.
Short of a tourist trap, it appears to be to the taste of many local visitors.
Not worth the detour.

This is the entrance if you just want to visit the beaches. There is no trail. The Road was ok.

This is not the main entrance, it is 25 km east. This is a terrible road, 1 h to drive 14 km! It costs 66.500 COP pp and 14.000 for the car. If you want to go to Playa Cristal you have to pay 100.000 COP for a very short trip in a boat for 10 people (in that case 10.000 pp) You can snorkel there, it is very nice.

We entered with our camper. The park rangers knew it was a camper and still let us through as long as we promised to only stay the day and not camp at the beach.
We arrived on a Monday. Not much at the beach. Although it is very beautiful, you only need a hour or two here. Nothing to see in the water. No reef, just sand and rocks. A few tiny fish.
If going to both parts of the national park, you have to pay the fee for your car to enter the park at both entrances.
